There are lots of things the red text is used to, Why not add an option for the GMs to broadcast messages to all the servers using it? Or to select the servers manually.

Why? Checking the forums every tuesday to see if there is a maint thread is a bit annoying, and if you have played this game for over 6 months you know that maint is not always tuesday, there are timezone resets, emergency maints and others announced only in the forums, and in order to be aware of them all it would require one to check the forums at least twice per day.

    GM's can use the red chat to announce stuff for a individual server as you see when they randomly pop on once a year to spawn harpy wraiths for fun.

    Its not hard to just check the forum usually around 5 hours before normal maint its announced if its canceled/postponed/early/ect. Also just ask someone in fac who checks forums like 5bil times a day..... like me.

    Get a cell phone...get twitter and get twitter pwi sent to ur phone. they will tell you thru a text if their is maints or not ijs
