Monthly Race event

This one has been broken for ages. It did pop in fixed in one update and then the next one broke it again... and has yet to be fixed.

The npc however I believe still pops up at least one does at around 560, 672 in that area not sure what time or when it spawns but i've clicked on the npc a few times only to be taken to an empty jungle event area where if you used up tele you have to run clear to the other side just to exit.

Although if i remember right the monthly event was started by the guy that spawns next to the dog... So maybe this is another race event that is also broken...

    In what way is it broken?

    I suspect he means the monthly race that the snake isle race gives the qualification for

    From what I understand Yakko is talking about, he is referencing the old monthly dungeon race. By completing the daily racing event, if the player digs the chests at the end, they get an item called "Monthly Dungeon Race Qualifier" (Note: This is the item)

    The monthly dungeon race has been broken ever since any patch after 1.3.6. I've seen it unlocked and half-working on private servers back in the day, so I know it still works... Sorta. But I doubt it will ever be fixed up. It's pretty broken, from what I understand.

    the monthly snake isle event hasn't been run at all in a long time. We get the qualification letters from the daily snake isle racing event, but there hasn't been any monthly race for as long as I can remember. :P

    Yes monthly race event is what I'm talking about however the cords I gave also pops a npc... It may be a different race which is also broken. At the moment I cant remember the npc name but it spawns in that area.

    Got it. I'm told those races expired a very long time ago and the devs didn't see fit to update the functionality to match. I'll inquire.

    If that is the case, could you guys perhaps place something else in the chests or remove them entirely? I've seen catshops attempting to sell the monthly qualifiers in the past, it's not a common sight but it is a rip-off if someone buys them without knowing any better.

    Yakko is probably talking about the teleport walls that trap people who teleport.

    It's a relic from the dead monthly race event where they didnt want you to cheat by teleporting (before squad signets / close connection / psychic summon / etc).

    I believe it still happens for a few minutes on the 28th of every month but it has been a long time since I've seen them.
