g16 refines

b:bye hi every one
recently i was refining the g16 sphere nd was using a D. orb (1). use it 3 times to get obviously the sphere to +1 and it fails. then used a D. orb(2) to check again and it also fail. just wondering if it has happened to other ppl.
nd since you are reading this post i just feel like QQin about losing 1.3k of mirs nd not getting the sphere to +4, is the success rate for g16 refines extremely low QQb:shutup

    How can D. orbing fail unless you use a 1* to get obviously +2 or smth, would like to see some proof, never has happened to me or any1 I know, somehow I feel this post is nothing more than April Fools!

    I doubt that. I +4ed my glaive in less than 50 mirages...

    My friend bought a 5* orb to get her pataka from +4 to +5 last night. It failed, and she didn't think to get before and after screen shots either, since orbs cannot fail and all that .-.

    not my intention Angel, thou it was all a coincidence xD, and i cant show you proof cuz either way if i were to get a picture of it the orbs disappears after it is used, and refines till shows as fail/ unchanged, after i close the window and open again to refine it worked fine so i guess small bug

    @ Xai i was surprised too since i +5 sandy with less than 100 mirs so ill conclude i had a rlly bad day/hour refining b:shocked

    I've never used the 5* from dreamchaser myself but they say grade 8 or below gear. Idk if you could even put it in the refine aid box, but maybe you put it in the box with a higher than grade 8 weapon and it failed.

    As for 1* or 2* failing... i'm assuming you did something dumb and tried to +3 > +4 with a 1 or 2* like a nub.

    really is there any point in insulting people in the thread why don't just say something of value instead and FYI i have been playing for 3 years now so i think ik what im doing how refinements work on pwi

    also i thought the dreamchaser orbs were 6*

    When you refine with an orb, a few things should happen:

    - In the chat log there should be a message that says "x Mirage Celestones disappeared" where x is 1, 2, or 5 depending on the gear. Along with that message should be a similar message saying the dragon orb that was consumed.

    - If the dragon orb is a higher level than the refine on the gear, the refine window should indicate success (duh)

    - If the dragon orb is the same or lower level as the refine on the gear it will say refine failed, refinement level unchanged.


    Therefore, if you took a screenshot it would be obvious to all what happened. The screenshot would show an orb consumed and the refinement level reset or the gear failed and remains at a lower level than the orb consumed.

    Those 5* dreamchaser orbs can only be used with up to g8 BOUND gear, in other words, dreamchaser gear, unless you want to go buy a binding charm for lowbie gear on farming alt I guess

    It's random luck.

    I refined my belt to +5 with 5 mirages 1 time.
    Another time it takes a crapton to get even +3 with only mirages.

    Used correctly.. dragon orbs NEVER fail. You must have messed up in one of the things I wrote in my post LOL.

    Also you proved your "playing for 3 years" of knowledge isn't much because dreamchasers give 1*,2*,5*(only useable on g8 or lower)...

    I used an insulting tone because it takes a smart guy to fail with d orbs :S

    The chance in this happening is far far less than 1%...

    It can happen, but i believe your lieing. +3 usually takes 10-25 tries MAX.

    Just curious if they dragged the orb to the box or left it in the bag. It will fail if it's in the bag. Not saying anyone did anything wrong, but I've accidentally forgot to drag an orb before myself and had my previous refines fail, only to have to start over. Oh, the stupid mistakes I wish I could have avoided. That was a sad sad time b:chuckle

    Could have also been lag. since there isn't a long timer (or is there even one?) on refining its easy to accidentally click refine again. i know i've lagged and done that before.

    refine +1 takes average 2 tries
    +2 takes average 10 tries
    +3 average 25 tries

    Seeing as Dreamchaser packs were fairly new, and not everyone had access to them, it wouldn't surprise me if one doesn't know about them. Nowhere in the OP's post does it say he used a dreamchaser orb so your insults are pretty baseless.

    I can't recall a single time where I needed more than 500 mirages at max to +5 something. o_o; Usually it's ~200.

    G16 Weapons take 5-mirages per try.. You can easily use 1000+ to get +5.

    However, unless you were trying for a higher refine than +3, but failed, went back to zero, then got back to 3 before you're mirages ran out, there is really no way to fail that many times to get +3. My guess is that you got +3 multiple times, tried to get to something like +7, but kept failing.

    Most mirages I've taken to get armor to +7 is around 2,500. On average it's closer to 700 per piece.. And I've refined 20+ pieces to this point.

    My cube neck took me 1200 damn mirages to +7!!!! b:angry

    i get that, i'm just telling you.
