Hello guys,

first of all this is not again a demon/sage plant skill recommendation.
I simply wanted to know how much of the mystic comunity would like to see lvl 11 plants ingame. (when we get a clear winner I could foward this to a GM I guess)

If your answer is no then please state why.

Best regardsb:pleased

You want people to say why they wouldn't want them but u don't even give a reason why should they exist. Ofc when u ask someone if they want to have something extra or not, with no down-side to it, they would answer positively, it's illogical not to think that. But from a neutral perspective I find the plants to be good as they are. Besides with them being already useful and still I see mystics not using them to the fullest. If anything should be changed about the plants, that's Punishing Sting and Healing Herb. b:surrender

You want to have to pay more to update your skills?

You want the most OP mage class even more OP?

You want to feel you made a mistake on your culti?

Veno and Barb had no problems with chi. Veno had no problems with MP. Instead of giving cleric and wizard better MP and Chi recovery: they gave it to the 2 classes that didn't need.

    @Alexis
Did you know that we are the class with the fewest lvl 11 skills?
If you don't believe it see your self:
    wizzi
    total # skills: 38 skills
    lvl 11 possible: 26

    psy
    total # skills: 35 skills
    lvl 11 possible: 25

    myst
    total # skills: 38 skills
    lvl 11 possible: 18

Also I am not asking for making plants OP or something like that. Just a tiny effect would be nice.
Barbs and venos got a new transformation and most people don't know it yet but in the comming update they will get new skills for that transformation.
    Source: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1539891&highlight=sirens
that means barb gets a 40 def lvl buff for freaking 60 sec! And please dont tell me they do not have enough defense because Cornered Beast makes them nearly imortal.
So why can't we just get lvl 11 plants which would maybe result on a useful healing herb or punishing sting?

    @tweakz
Yes I do want to pay more for skills. It is not like you have to get them, right?
And the most OP mage class is arguable, you will read in every subclass forum how OP every class is.
The feel of making a culti mistake is the only disadvantage.

If you really like this idea you need to sit down and deside what each version will be and do for each plant. Otherwise, all you are asking is do you want to spend more money to play your allegedly OP Mystic.

What would a GM do with undeveloped information?

It has been my experience in some MMOs that if players want a game-changer, the Devs want detailed and specific information on what is needed/wanted.

So far, I feel like Im being asked, do I want to buy more skill books regardless of what they will do.

Um...no, not really. There is other stuff I need more. In fact, there are 2 old books that I still cant get, and Ive been looking for them for almost 2 years.

You dont have a bad idea here. Its just totally undeveloped at this point. With more effort, you might just get something going. b:victory

P.S. Someone needs to keep puffing up the 'yes' votes though, if they really have nothing better to do with their money, and hate Mystics THAT much. ^^

Because at this point, 18 people anonymously claim they want it, and they have no idea why, so why should you get an idea before you say 'yes' too?

    Idk, just a guess. b:chuckle

I got a great idea! So everyone will hate it, ofc, but anyway...

Let's get a Mystic Quest or maybe Culti Continuation where one of our summons gives birth (simular to Lady Gaga in the Born This Way video), to two skillbooks upon completion of the Quest line or Culti con't. Whatever path the Mystic chose, the reward is a Sage/Demon Verdant Shell & Sage/Demon Thicket skillbook.

I love that. Someone should make a poll! b:victory b:shutup

You don't even know how much I'd enjoy if our skills could be gotten that way. I mean, a nice story, an achievement via quest. So awesome. Hell, I'd do lots of long quests for that.

Most people just click on confirm confirm confirm without reading any part of the quests. I wonder if I mention the name Azure how many people know what I'm talking about.

I think you might be talking about Azure Dragon Scrolls. They start quests, I think I might even have a couple stashed somewhere. I have seen them (rarely) in Catshops once or twice, too. I dont really know what they are for, but it seems I need a big collection of them to do whatever. I definately need to research that more one day maybe...it would be nice if the Quest system was a bit more helpful about that kind of stuff too.

Anyway, did I guess right? b:chuckle

I honestly don't care either way.
If one the demon/sage plants had stunning capabilities I'm all for it! b:chuckle

But you have to think, our Sage/Demon skills are very VERY expensive if you just want to outright buy it (Most people do). Adding more to that can be irritating and annoying.

But here is what I think should be some possible Lvl11 Plant upgrades:

Punishing Sting: It should become aoe at lvl 11, and have a moderate chance to stun targets. Being a little bit more OP wouldn't hurt. b:thanks Sage can have some random debuff, and demon have increased chi gain maybe? I dunno

Befuddling and Spidervine: I feel that Befuddling and Spidervine are my most used plants, the debuffs are awesome when I'm soloing. But at Lvl11 I believe there should be longer debuffing time for Sage, and Demon gets an increased chance to debuff.

Listless Blossom: I use this to kite those damned pandas in NW, I haven't really tested this out in other situations (more on this eh?) Sage should have increased sleep time, Demon have a chance to decrease hp/mag def/ and or phys def?

Healing Herb: I have to come back on this one

Vital Herb: Same for Healing, not really sure, I feel its good enough as it is.

And instead of us having to MAKE the skill books for em, why the hell dont they just throw in quests like for the rests of the plants, just probably be in different dungeons or something, like the sage ones be in brimstone, demon ones in eden?

I'm just throwing suggestions out there, lol hopefully someone might agree/critique no?

More info on the AoE. Anything that would freeze and seal is not necessary. Im not excited about a 'random debuff'. I wont comment on the Demon side, as Im not Demon. Im not sure how I feel about the plant becoming a permanent AoE.

Befuddling and Spidervine: I feel that Befuddling and Spidervine are my most used plants, the debuffs are awesome when I'm soloing. But at Lvl11 I believe there should be longer debuffing time for Sage, and Demon gets an increased chance to debuff.

Kk, my minds blank at the moment, so I'll just get back to this as others comment.

Listless Blossom: I use this to kite those damned pandas in NW, I haven't really tested this out in other situations (more on this eh?) Sage should have increased sleep time, Demon have a chance to decrease hp/mag def/ and or phys def?

You have the chance to sleep a whole squad in TW, if they stay in a neat cluster. How about level 11 give both cultis increased sleep time, and nevermind. Edited cause I hated the rest of the thought. I can say I dont like Demon appearing to get a slight DD advantage over Sage, as your suggestion would imply.

Healing Herb: I have to come back on this one

Vital Herb: Same for Healing, not really sure, I feel its good enough as it is.

I got these covered. Both plants used together restore great HP to those that stay in range. Sage and Demon versions of both plants also restore MP at a rate simular to the HP when used together (keeping a clerics BB special by maintaining its exclusivity to damage reduction).

And instead of us having to MAKE the skill books for em, why the hell dont they just throw in quests like for the rests of the plants, just probably be in different dungeons or something, like the sage ones be in brimstone, demon ones in eden?

Id rather see a special quest line. My first reaction was, "Oh noes! Not more dungeons!" Maybe one like the one you change into a turtle, and later you still have the thingy to change back into a turtle again. They have made some fun new quests. It would be nice to see that creativity and fun continue.

I'm just throwing suggestions out there, lol hopefully someone might agree/critique no?

And I just threw out my thoughts on your 'template of suggestions'. Maybe more will post theirs as well.

Its an interesting discussion anyways. Even if it might all turn out to be nothing to waste millions to get. Then again, maybe it could turn out to be a favored idea afer all. b:thanks

i wld like to see vital herb's cooldown to be faster or to last longer, not for healing to be improved, but so that as long as u had spark u could use it as long as u needed to rather than those 15 sec where it stopped but still in cooldown. or, so that clerics dnt feel pushed aside..to make our squad heal faster
i also think sting needs to be improved..nvr seen anyone use it beyond lvl 50 and i have not found a use for it since low lvl's either (yes i know how n when to use it..i just see no point in useing it) making it AOE has my vote :D
it would be nice if spider n beffud were stronger, but not necessary
sleeping herb is fine as it is ..maybe sage cld b longer lasting and demon more chance to work?
another thought..forget the plants.. why not have lysing as demon/sage skill? so sage lysing effects last longer n demon does stronger effects

Vital Herb is a funny plant. It has a weird behavior. As description says "Vital Herb appears for 20 seconds." I doubt it was intentional but that is a spot-on translation from PWI. The animation indeed disappears after 20 seconds. The healing however continues. And it continues over its 35 seconds cd. So as long as you have sparks it can heal continuously. There are other weird stuff about it but it's going off-topic.

When I said earlier I wanted to see some changes with Punishing String and Healing Herb I meant their 1-10 version. No point in making an advanced version of them if the basic sucks. Making PS aoe just maybe might give it a use but with it's low damage it would still be 'meh'. For its current uses, so far I'm only using it in monday's Tiger event.

Lysing's only effect is to deal a small aoe damage deending on the plant out. The other effects come from the plants themselves. So you can't modify the lysing skill and expect different effects happening.

Seriously, I see nothing they could change that will make worth it to make lvl11 plants.

I think the plants don't have sage/demon form cause they are not actually a skill make by the mystic himself, but a plant we drop then the plant do her stuff.

Because to do this gives a definate advantage with DD to Demon. Both cultis need to be a good DD. For something last longer, while on the other end making something totally better favors one culti, while making the other useless in comparison.

The worst thing anyone could do to a Mystic is to disrupt the perfect balance there is between the cultis. I think the balance of the cultis is what makes all the creative variations of the character possible. *shrugs*
