New Panda Barb Skills

Please please please PWI, make a new skill for barbs in panda form that allow us to take and hold aggro! I just want to be a tank! (Currenty, Barbs are switching to claws and Dex builds because they have no chance at holding aggro.) I made them balanced so both Stabbing Pain and Sacrifice would be interesting to manage your chi and play in order to hold aggro from any APS player. These skills are desperately needed by this class.

My dream panda barbs skills would be:

Skill #1- Like flesh ream, but creates the same hatred as a 5 APS sin with +5 R9 daggers would generate in 4 seconds.

STABBING PAIN
(must be in Panda form to use)
100 Mana
Channel 0.2
Cast 1.2
Cooldown 4 seconds
Costs 30 Chi to use
Deals base physical damage plus 4000 physical damage and greatly increases threat level. Note: increase in threat level equivalent to the threat level generated by a sparked 5aps sin with +5 R9 daggers)

Skill #2- An immobilize skill that lasts a decent amount of time, like 8 seconds. I don't need a stun, I just need something to stop players from kiting and mobs from running which makes grinding super annoying!

TORMENT
(must be in Panda form to use)
150 mana
Channel 0.2
Cast 1.2
Cooldown 20 seconds
Deals base physical damage +1500 physical damage. Immobilizes target for 8 seconds. Increases critical hit rate by 10% for 8 seconds. 100% accuracy.

Skill #3- This is the end all and be all of aggro skills. Pretty much guarantees you get aggro of everything nearby: but it will cost you. This skill allows a barb take and hold aggro from a sparked RRR9 sin with refined daggers (or better daggers that have yet to be released.)

SACRIFICE
(must be in Panda form to use)
Channel 0.2
Cast 1.2
Cooldown 4 seconds
Costs 2 Sparks.
Lose 50% of your current health and mana to create a 12M AOE dealing base physical damage +5000 physical damage and hugely increasing your threat level (threat level increased as follows: every 100hp and 100mp sacrificed generates the threat equivalent of one sparked sin attack with R9 daggers).

    I would like something like this:

    xxx mana, 1 second cast. For 12 seconds, every attack you do generates double agro.

    xxx mana, 1 second cast. For 8 seconds, attacks done by characters in a 12 feet generate half agro

    xxx mana, 1 second cast. cooldown 30 seconds. For 5 seconds, target player character will generate only 1 point of agro per attack. (basically no agro, but if id be dev i wouldnt make it zero cuz thats asking for trouble thats going to create abusable glitches and stuff)

    That in combination with the agro skills we have (devour, FR, roar)

    All numbers including "double" and "half" should be finetuned to the where barbs hold agro against an equally geared team when they use those 2 skills at every interval, keep the boss constantly devoured and FR mostly the remaining time.

    when there is a higher geared DD in the team, the target player skill should be used every now and then. With the cooldown you could for example time it after every other spark of the strongest DD.

    And then again depending on your gear level compared to the rest of the squad, there should still be situations where you want to cut down on the devouring to keep agro.

    Something like this would require you to use multiple skills with proper timing instead of just use 1 or 2 whenever they are available.

    Unless they greatly improve the looks of this new panda form however, id rather have it all in tiger form.

    And i dont know how FR exactly works now (noone seems to know because i asked multiple times and never got an answer) but the agro it generates should be purely damage based and not have any set amount in it. like all those skills that do xxx% weapon damage + set number, that may well be how FR works right now. If it is only damage based (like generate 3x as much agro as this amount of damage would normally do) then it would scale properly and you would still have pretty much the same balance if you have a squad without veno and BM as when you have those HF and amping.

    I know with a system like this about 80% of the barbs would be fail, but that doesnt matter :) The more rewarding it feels to be a good barb :)

    Very interesting ideas HrunsPanda! I especially like the idea of being able to nerf target player's aggro. I hadn't thought of that one. b:pleased

    Very nice. But losing 50% hp and 50% mp, to get perma agro? That sound almost like a death sentence to a barb. Especially on mage mobs. I suppose Cornered Beast can kick in though, but still. All in all I like it.
