Whats a good PvP Genie skill for a veno? I want to make one but have no idea what skills to get

well when she gets 100 I was aiming for full T3 Ha, and she has a good Zeal well I could change that and get a diffrent one if needed. She is a veno who needs lure skill x30

seems you never got a reply eh? i decided to come to forums tonight in hopes of seeing what other pvp oriented venos do. most of the youtube videos seem outdated but i can tell you this, op:
i use a 101 zeal with stats of 5 str, 3 dex, 83 vit, and 100 mag (augmented with warsong medals to make the mag +4, vit +4) and LP of 82/100. the affin goes like this: metal 7, water 4, earth 5, wood 4, fire 0. 1 remaining, saving it for whenever it is i hit 102 x.x'
i'm an r9rr veno too but i don't think that really matters here. i mean sure it does to an extent but what i find more important when deciding how to do genie skills is if you want it to be offensive or defensive which depends entirely on your playing style. i personally prefer the defensive ways because when i'm hunted or alot of people are on me, i have more options.
these are the skills i have picked for my genie:
cloud eruption lv1
absolute domain lv10
fortify lv1
tree of protection lv10
holy path lv10
extreme poison lv10
i use ep the least and i have room for 1 more skill. i will probably get expel when i hit 102 or remove paralysis.

The obvious: cloud eruption holy path fortify to at least forti-IG or forti-feral
ToP and go STR since you'll have a nice HP pool with HA?

There's also Badge of Courage that removes stun (or has a chance to) but I suppose that's kinda situational. It works nice on BM/Psy stuns that are pretty long. Although, I'm not sure if having a weapon with Purify nullifies the need for that skill.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Badge of Courage only works well with a 90+DEX genie, 70+ DEX genie it's alright but not great. For me, this type of genie is not what a veno needs.
My veno's genie is 87/100 with 87 vitality and 86 magic and this provides me with the ability to spam a lot of genie skills.
I have:
Fortify 1
Holy Path 10
Extreme Poison 10
Tree of Protection 10 (useless now as well unless you have a massive HP pool. My veno is at 12k buffed and this still doesn't help that much as she isn't R9 or G16 nirvana)
Absolute Domain 10
Cloud Eruption 10
Tangling Mire 10(genie double as my BMs genie, even so this skill is mostly useless without a good STR genie)
*Keep in mind I was an active PKer on my veno from late 09 to early 10 then almost stopped playing venomancer, so take this with a grain of salt[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I've used many different genies and skills. The best kind of genie for me was a faith based genie.
The genie I would recommend for you is a disciple or zeal genie. However, imo disciple is better because the initial skill is very useful for air-bone fights. For pve, you could use another genie such as zeal with its lure skill. The distributions of it's points would be like 50-75 magic (I recommend 75 though), and whatever is left put it on vitality.
For the skills, the must have skills would be faith level 10, and fortify level 1. Recommended skills would be windshield level 10. And the other skills would be up to you, but consider these first:
whirlwind level 1: This skill is useful to debuff people. Why? When you are trying to purge, haven't you have problems with some people who keep moving out of purge's range? I've had this problem, that's why I learned this skill, so I can stop them for 1 second, which is enough to start casting. I can even debuff people who try to holy path. This skill is also very useful for catching people in the air or ground.
Extreme Poison: More damage... but don't abuse this skill, you may need that genie energy for faith.
Holy Path: Good for attack and retreat. However, if you are a demon veno, you could opt for not learning this skill. Sure holy path is faster than fox form, but fox form only expends a few points of mana, while holy path costs like 75 genie energy (I think). I who is a demon veno do not have holy path because I preferred to get something else.
A genie skill to resist some element: There are genie skills to resist all the elements, but the one to resist earth is only available to wizards (ypw?). I think the best skills from the 4 left are heart of steel and soul of fire, why? Because seekers, which are a lot of them, have many attacks imbued with metal element, and they also debuff our metal resistance. So, resisting their metal imbued attacks will help a lot against them.
I got soul of fire because wizards, some of them, have a genie skill that debuffs your fire resistance. This debuff can be a lot, and it allows them to kill very easily even arcanes with a spark sutra-fire combo. That's why I got this skill. If I get undine, and then spark I use soul of fire, and then I see a bunch of "immunes" on my screen.
Other skills to consider, but that may require a genie 101 or more:
Expel: This skill makes you immune to physical attacks, but it seals you. If a sin uses throat cut, (or anything that causes seal) you should use this skill right away so you get a brief period of time when you are immune to physical attacks, but you aren't sealed. To make this skill work on you always, you need to set up your filters so any buff that you cast on anyone is casted on you. Or, always select yourself before using this skill, but that can be slow.
Cloud Eruption: More chi...This skill would be either level 1, or 10. That would be up to you. If I had this skill, I think I would level it to 10.Artymis - Dreamweaver wrote: »...most of the youtube videos seem outdated...
