      Quick fixes like these makes the game look better
      Expect the fix in the coming week

      Just to note:
      It wasn't the dev team that made this mistake. English localization is done by Perfect World Entertainment. PWE doesn't have any developers in the current staff roster. Instead, they have translators who take the Chinese text in-game, and re-write it in readable English. They then format the English to a reasonable font size/selection, and toss it back in. Developing implies that the game's code is altered in a specific way, shape, or form to create some sort of change.

      Also, why did you use 4shared? That website is often perceived as a download/pirate haven for music, viruses, etc. You should use a website like tinypic, imgur, etc next time. That way you won't have so many people harping on the trivial thought that you linked some form or representation of a virus.

      Just a minor correction here...
      English localization is handled entirely by Wanmei. PWE is not allowed or able to touch the PWI server files on their own machines. Updates are pushed onto their servers direct from China and then they are sent the list of patch notes to post on the forums.

      At least, this is the information that has been given to me by our GM's about how it works.

      oh yh how were they able to fix fc in 1 week then? sent the problem to the chinese devs ? i doubt it dude .

      Come on... if you are a legit 103, you have been here long enough to know that power levelers make PWE money. Teles, hypers, repairs, plus a fast track to r9 gear and refine money.

      If it will put an extra yuan in someone's poket in Bejing, it will get fixed quick. Heck, just look at the glitches aka: features some people used to gain fast 105. PWI didn't want to fix that fast because of all the money that was rolling in hand over fist.

      1. "Soon" = a very long time
      2. If it makes money, it is a "feature"... if it doesn't, it is a "glitch".
      3. PWE can only deal with the forum, social networking, and sales...Anything else is
      under the tyranny of the People's Republic of China.
      4. If it is broke, don't wait for a fix. If they fix it, don't worry... Bejing will break it
      again.
      5. Don't ever expect new... expect recycled

      without fc ppl would buy oracles to lvl oraclrs=tokens =packs. i remember 3 years ago when my mage was 83 i met an archer who paid 200$ to lvl from 60to 80 with oracles or something like that so the concept of generating money u gave is completely wrong also hypers r worth what ? 500k? well u just need 3mins per head session do ur math nd c .
      i understand ppl gotta hate but at least give decent arguments

      Because all they had to do was replace the current map files that they mistakenly sent us from the PW-CN version with the original map files from our version. In all honesty, all it would really take is to shut the servers down, replace the files, and the restart the servers. You could have it fixed in less than 15 minutes.

      Things like the PvP bug in secret passage is even faster. You just shut down the map, edit 6 characters in the config file, and reload the map. To remove flying, you just add "; nofly" to the check string in the same config file.

      Also, yes, I have sent code to China for fixes in our version. And yes, that's exactly how we get things fixed this fast. V4liance sent a message up the chain to China about the horrid mistakes that they made, and management decided that it was in their best interests to fix it quickly. I'm half-surprised that they decided to wait until the next scheduled maintenance instead of pulling an "emergency update".

      You fail to see that money is flowing to PWE from not one, but thousands of wallets. So those hypers, you know the ones you buy from CS or make from tokens, that come from packs, that come from the CS (or merch that got them from CS)...

      As for giving an argument, I need not do so. I state the obvious and the reader chooses to read or ignore. Simple eh?

      One more thing... if you want to play the Oracle to 105 game, may I suggest you get in contact with a certain barb on LC about details. b:chuckle
