Warsoul Spirit in arch broken?

Hi,

I have been hard at work farming the cube for my BM so he can get a cube necklace, more than half way to getting the necessary 30 cogs but I also need the warsould materials:

Warsoul: Ksitigarbha
Warsoul: Vajra
Warsoul: Avalokites
Warsoul: Jakari

So the other night I found the right TT mats to try to manufacture a "Warsoul: Ksitigarbha" at the "Warsoul Sprit" forge in the center of arch.

I tried 6 times sometimes using different mats to create the Ksitigarbha and I got a message saying "Manufacturing failed" and the TT mats were consumed (disappeared from my inv) and I got no Ksitigarbha materials. I tried on two different characters and same results.

PW database says there is a 100% change of successfully creating the a "Warsoul: Ksitigarbha Fragment" material:

http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/21114

So why did it fail and consume my TT mats??

I will post a ticket on this subject to the GMs but just wondering if the community was aware or have any advice for me. Is it a well known issue that the Warsoul Spirit is broken? I am thinking the devs need to create an "Out of order" sign to hang on such bugged features in the game...sad thing is we would see them hanging everywhere lol.

Anyways, just wondering, has anyone used the Warsoul Spirit successfully?

Cya in a perfect world...

It's not 100% craft rate for every mat, pwdatabase is a bit misleading with the probability rate, you need to click the recipe link to see the fail rate.

To see the real rate open the encyclopedia ingame and look up the warsoul item you're crafting.
    Orrrr click here

And as gyroki below me said, if you can run NW, use the tokens you get from it to make warsoul mats, a lot cheaper that way.

Probabilities of pwdatabase are wrong. Don't make ws mats with tt mats, supply tokens are the way to go nowadays.

The probabilities on the database are wrong. The NPC is working as intended. The database is correct 99% of the time. This is the 1%, sorry. =/

    Thanks for the info.

I did wonder about the drop rates, that is why I tried about 6 times.

Sadly I am unable to participate in NW since it is 4am my time b:shedtear

Shame gameplay now kinda relies on a feature that not everybody can participate in.

I think it's pwdatabase that's wrong, if you were using green TT mats they've always had a very low success rate, see: this page which should have accurate success rates.

You might also look into making your fragments from supply tokens from NW, it might be significantly easier.

Me & my team will be investigating this. We might have to call you a few times to answer some questions for us. In the meantime, continue with your TTing.

The probability on pwdb is more incomplete than wrong.
It only shows probability of making stuff with successful manufacturing. Some recipes can have several outcomes with successful manufacturing but warsoul recipes make a specific item 100% of the time.

PWDB does not show the probability of a manufacture failing.
EDIT NM it actually does show the fail probability on the recipes.

You could take advantage of this by selling your TT mats for coin, and using that coin to try to purchase the warsoul mats at a decent price!

Sorry to hear you lost so many materials.

The instructions at the Warsoul forge actually indicate the high failure rates of certain recipes.

Also, if you click on the actual recipe in PWDatabase, it lists the *failure* probability.

For example, http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/recipe/3260 indicates a 96.8% failure rate.

But please also note that while PWDatabase is a useful tool, it is not actually affiliated with Perfect World and is not an official source of information.
