    EDIT Also edits don't work if she already reads your post before the edit (which she would since it had the word sweetiebot). You're better off deleting your post and making a new one.

    She does sometimes respond to edited posts but it's usually unlikely.

    What happens is that every few minutes (or shorter depending on activity) sweetiebot searches for all posts that contain the word 'sweetiebot' and reads them one by one in the order they were posted. After she reads a post she will never read it or any post that came before it ever again (at least for command purposes - though I can manually rewind and restart her)

    So if you edit a post that contained the word sweetiebot before she reads it then she'll read the edited post.

    If you edit a post that never contained sweetiebot to begin with then it will suddenly pop up in the next round of searching. The issue then becomes whether that post is more recent than all the sweetiebot posts she read in her last round of searching. If there was a sweetiebot post that came after your edited post that she already read, she assumes yours is already taken care of since it is further down the list.

    She could be a little better about that specific case but edits in general are not well defined in their behavior. Like if you edit an analyze command that she already responded to do you really expect her to discard the previous result and run things from scratch again?
