Unable to Log in pwi anymore

Yesturday , Wed. March 20th, around 11:40 pm (server time), i was gonna check my bank and suddenly, i was dc'ed from the game. Later on, i received an Error Report Msg.

At the begining , i thought it wasn't a big deal, cause i have received them in the past, however, when i tried to log back in the game, the game didn't response.

i re-busted the comp., also did a successful failes' verification and tried to log in again, the results were the same, i can't get back in the game.

This has never happened to me in long time, after the last maint.upgrade on Tue. March 19th
i was able to upgrade properly and played the game as well.

I don't know if other gamers are having this type of issue, but, just in case, i post this to get possible answers from other ppl. Thx.

    b:angryim trying to loggin too and cant, game is trying to login server and nerve happaens have something new? is new update for fix the problems from last update?

    Your choices are pretty simple.

    1. Submit a ticket. (Hint: It's within the Support link up top that you find this, or e-mail customerservice@perfectworld.com.)

    2. Provide helpful information, and post it with intricate detail in the proper forum. Then someone like me will take a few minutes of my time to look at the details and offer real suggestions.

    As it is, neither of you have provided any amount of information for me to give useful advice.

    if your submit ticket reply hints doesn't work or takes to long to receive a reply try this :

    (if you didnt reinstalled windows)

    uninstall pwi (you can keep your screenshot files but move it away then later paste screenshots into the new folder) .
    Do a registry clean + defragment registry and delete manually Prefetch files GAMECLIENT.EXE-xxxxx.pf, ELEMENTCLIENT.EXE-xxxxx.pf from C/WINDOWS/Prefetch (x32 xp sp3) .
    I would suggest to uninstall pwi with Revo Uninstaller pro - this clear any left over traces including left over registry keys.

    In other words, make a clean install.


    1.Remember to run as Admin when you do these so there wont be conflicts or additional warnings.(from what i heard, newer Windows version has the "Run as Admin" "issue")
    2.Make sure you lift or game not blocked to access internet (from the latest updates , my zone alarm firewall warned me that some changes has been made to the GAMECLIENT.EXE so i had to allow to access internet again inluding the pwi keylogger-whatever) by your firewall or blocked a process somehow by antivirus.


    i will try to reinstall soon Forsaken World , i got same issue as you and when i sent ticket they said that the video graphic driver is outdated, i updated the driver but still got same error : "Dr.Watson has encountered a problem and needs to close this program" error about the Patcher.exe i think which btw had a chinese name/characters (xp sp3)

    so far pwi is running fine for me.

    I posted a threat with the same problem "Unable to lo in pwi anymore", however re-installed the game and was able to log back in.

    The new problem i am having now its that my characters' menu doesn't show up after login in
    so my next step was sending a ticket to the support team.

    Try re-installing the game again, it may help u, like it did to me.

    You could post the answer here too so ppl. find it useful .I'm glad the re installing game worked and sorry to hear that you can't see the characters anymore , the characters main data with all the history (such as respawn location,..etc) are stored in the server so from now on its the pwe's problem ,sometimes may take time to load it (more seconds delay than normal) depends on your internet speed,computer performance,etc.Every MMO game server should have back up character files .I'm affraid that now you might really need to submit a ticket ,hope won't be necessary.

    NO kidding. We're going to delve further into this, and this won't be the first time I've had to clean up on of CRYSTY's messes.
    I am only dong this because CRYSTY's "advice" is SO far off base that it can actually cause you problems. I warn you now, my responses won't be very pleasant towards CRYSTY because I cannot believe that someone would spout this kind of nonsense like they know something, when they obviously don't

    I can understand English isn't your first languarge quite obviously so I'm not going to harp much on your failure in using it properly. In the future though, try harder.

    If a user is simply unable to login, how the hell do you thin un-installing and re-installing PWI is going to help? On top of that, what difference does it make if you didn't re-install Windows or not? NONE whatsoever, which pretty much makes the rest of the post ****, but we'll analyze the **** just because it gets even worse.

    All of this is completely unnecessary if you are trying to do a clean install. Simply reboot after you uninstall. Defragging the registry might make a change of 0.001% imrovement to the performance of your PC, has absolutely nothing to do with performing a clean install, and doing it using over half the software out there will actually cause more problems that it claims to solve.

    If you want to really do a completely clean uninstall, use CCleaner. Even that I would only recommend for experienced PC power users, and not for your average kid that you will find in these forums.

    If you're going to say something based on a vague rumor that you have absolutely no basis of knowledge on, just shut up and keep it to yourself.
    Now for the reality. When running the installer, or the client, and using Vista, Win7/8 you do want to run the client as administrator. This is because of the age of the client's interface and various security issues with the memory addresses the client will try to call. By running it as administrator, the OS will do fewer security checks on the memory addresses the client is calling that are in the restricted zone and will allow the client to run smoother and have fewer errors accessing memory.

    2.Make sure you lift or game not blocked to access internet (from the latest updates , my zone alarm firewall warned me that some changes has been made to the GAMECLIENT.EXE so i had to allow to access internet again inluding the pwi keylogger-whatever) by your firewall or blocked a process somehow by antivirus.
    First, you typically will not have to worry about the client getting through your firewall. Unless that is, you're using bloated software like Norton.
    In any case, you should completely exclude the entire client directory for the scans of your security software. This is mentioned on the downloads page, and by CRYSTY's response, they obviously did not follow that.

    On top of that garbage, PWI has no Keyloggers, and GAMECLIENT.EXE is not a PWI file, it's from STO.

    Quite frankly, I'm amazed at this point that even your computer is running fine.
    I will kindly ask you to stop spouting random nonsense in an effort to provide a solution for a topic which you quite obviously have barely even read.

    If CRYSTY had pothered to read the post immediately after the post that they have quoted from another thread, they would have found the answer. It's quite common, and I've resolved it numerous times for people. Re-installing the game isn't a fix at all unless your files are so corrupted that it's not able to display the characters on the screen. The fix is to choose the proper server.
    In the extremely rare case that your files are that corrupted, you need to first find out what made them that way, fix it, and then just run verify a few times.
    For CRYSTY, posting a reply in a thread to a post from a different thread is not only dumb and misleading, but it's just not kosher. If you're going to post nonsense, at least keep it within the thread you are relating your nonsense to.

    Have had the same issue with logging into game, since last update, have gotten several failed update messages . Had also done some other downloads, and thought posibly had done something myself..After much frustration in attempting to log into game with same results, decided to reinstall game to see if another issue might have played a role, but with same results. Have no idea what to try next..Please Anyone have Any ideas ??
