Visual effects of armors?

i have seen one player a while ago with really nice effect around her like a barrier, so i thought it was the effect of the stones in her armor but she said it is not. How could that be? what does she probably use to get such kind of effect? on top of that she didn't answer my succeeding question so i post this thread. hope someone could enlighten me.

    as far as i know, there is only a visual effect, when you have 4 sockets in one armor piece and 4 stones in it. Then the part with the 4 sockets will glow/sparkle/burn whatever.
    But only the part with the 4 sockets will have special effects like burning or sparkling, parts with 2 or 3 sockets will only have a little effect on them, not sure about 1 socket parts.

    The visual effect depends on which stones are inside.

    complete sets of gear sometimes have added visuals if i was to guess by what you described its probably stage 2 nirvana armor

    I believe you probably saw a barbarian or another HA class in FULL LUNAR gear.
    Probably had some red spheres orbiting about them?

    If they have full lunar ... I believe 6 pieces (boots, greaves, plate, helm, cape, and
    wrists) they will get this cool effect. I have seen 2 barbs outffited this way.

    It is cool looking.

    I have never seen an arcane or LA class decked out in full lunar so not sure all classes
    could do it, but you'd figure it would look the same.

    This, full T2 lunar nirvana adds a white ring/barrier effect, full T2 TT nirvana the effect is red. b:bye

    The above posts about T2 lunar/TT gear auras is correct but you also get a separate visual effect for having a gear with 4 sockets all sharded the same (not certain but I think they need to be level 11+ shards.

    Back when I had T3 TT gear before NW came along, my items with 4 sockets had lightning bolts coming out of them due to the citrine gems I used. Different gems have different visual effects.

    There's a thread somewhere around here that says what grade is needed, what gem, what combination, and what the effect is. Can't find it atm, but it had a whole breakdown that was pretty thorough. Has to be at least 3 years old or so, having trouble finding it atm.

    TT90 gold has steam rising off of it if you have all 4 parts.
    TT99 has flames on it if you have all the parts.

    Morai 101 chestplate has some shiny sunlight gleams that didn't seem to get carried over to r999 armor.

    ^ That is interesting. While the armor looks exactly the same the aura is quite different from the R9 recast aromor. The R9s3 full set has a white haze / smoky effect.

    Many armor sets have aura bonus to them.

    TT or lunar nirvana armor g15 has an aura when you have a complete set of items.
    Atom like aura is red when the character has a full set of HA.
    The aura is White when the items are LA
    The aura is blue when the items are AA.

    Further more: the g16 verison of the items have a fire added to them.
    Rank 9 has a red glow to it.

    but imo the best aura comes with g15 Ha

    Clerics Morai Violet Dance and Absorbing Array put an aura around them.

    You can see fire burning around your chestpiece if you have full Nirvana/Lunar Stage 3 set.
    Male as well as Female characters have the same effect.

    My character is wrapped in an aura of awesomeness, but lesser mortals are unable to perceive this.
