Dreamchaser orbs have a bonus?

I was just refining my seekers new sword, G15, and I forgot I had previously +2'd it. So I throw in my new free 1* orb. Low and behold, something incredible happens. It fails, however it consumes the orb, and it gives the following message "Refine attempt failed. Refine level remains the same" or whatever. I'm pretty sure that when you use a 1* at higher levels, it doesn't act as a chinkung stone or whatever that expensive one is. Has anyone else noticed this?

    orbs from dreamchaser packs can be only used for lvl1 to lvl5 gears

    They worked every single time on a G15 blade to go from 0 to 2. I know the 5*s are limited to lv8 gears and bound or something

    no, the one and two-star orbs can be used on all levels of gear, and the five-star orbs can only be used on level-eight or lower gear.

    If you read the description then you would realize that it says "100% chance to successfully increase an item's refinement level by 1." but also "Maximum refinement level: +1" meaning it can only be used to +1 an item, and no more, if you wanted a chienkun, you should've bought one. (Yes I know that's not the same orb as PWI has but the description is the same)

    In other words you thought your G15 weapon was unrefined and yet it was +2.
    Thinking it was unrefined you used the +1 Orb from the dreamchaser pack to refine it believing it will go +1. As it was +2 already if it failed it should have gone back to +0 yet it remained +2?

    I don't really know if they have a bonus or this is how the orbs work since I never mistakenly used an orb in that way though.

    Tested on a g11 +2 bow and a g15 +5 dagger. It doesn't change refines after failing.

    What we need to test though is if it works with normal 1 star orbs.

    I have a feeling the rates would be the same as a chienkun. Haven't gotten a success after using a bunch.

    Anyways, yeah I will test it later too. Although seeing as how they weren't probably programmed this way, I have a feeling that maybe the rates would be the same as straight mirages b:shutup

    Just tried it with a +2 Eye of the Jungle and a normal 1* orb. It had the same affect. Consumes the orb, and "refining failed. Item level unchanged." Message popped up.

    Getting ready to try on a +4 g15

    Okay I have tried 34 of the bound 1* orbs and 1 of the non bound normal 1* orbs. None have succeeded.b:cry

    Edit: but none reset the refinement level

    That's pretty interesting. I wonder though, is it programmed to intentionally make the refine fail? Because it appears to be like that judging but the comments posted so far o.o
