Problem downloading and installing the game.

I have tried a dozen times to download and install the game.
I have had several different errors. Here are some of them.
Sometimes i have this one: Your system is currently not allowing access to our servers. Check Firewall settings and or security software settings to allow PMB.exe.
I have already done this.
Next I have this error: [autorun] open=Install.exe icon=icon.ico
Which comes up in a notepad form. After the download is complete.
I go to the file it downloaded into and double click the install.exe Which works.
At the end of the installing ive had another error, Failed to create the folder..cant remember what its called. But I asume its the folder that the game should go into.
I have also had it install and go to the patcher just once. then when I click patch, from the little box that comes up, the games files disapears.
I have only once been able to get to the patcher. Never past it or into the game.
Please if anyone can help me. I am getting very frusterated.
My computer is windows 7. If you need anymore info let me know.

It could also be caused by a permissions error. You should not be on a limited user account, and you should also right-click the downloader and choose the "run as administrator" option.

As stated hundreds of times in the forum, this is caused by a broken installer. Go to the folder you told it to download the files to and run install.exe as administrator after disabling your antivirus.

This is because you did not follow the instructions on the download page about excluding your game files from your antivirus scans. Your antivirus just ate your client.

I can understand, but simply searching on each of these issues you've had would have clearly shown you the answers.

At the stage you are at right now, it's because your antivirus ate the files. Exclude the client directory from scheduled and real-time scans then verify your files a few times and you will be ok. (One verify never fixes anything.)Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

I did follow the instructions. Never changed a thing.

I have searched. But i did not know what to look for. I am some what dim witted in the tech world. I do know my way around a computer but as to fixing issues with it. i might as well ask someone else.0 -
I get the same problem when installing the game.
I have now sat here for over 10 hours, trying to get this game installed.
I have tried installing it five times. Every single time I try to install it, I get this bug:
I have right clicked on the installer, and selected "Run as Administrator" every time.
This does not fix the issue.
I do not use an antivirus programme, nor is my firewall blocking it.
My Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what on earth I am supposed to do?
I have yet to see the launcher, or anything. It installs the game and then closes, and spits out this message in the notepad.

As has been stated hundreds of times here, (and would have quickly been found using the search feature), This is caused by the broken installer. You need to go to the folder you told it to download the files to and run install.exe.
Next time search the forums before posting. You'll save yourself, and others, a lot of wasted time. Hell just reading the responses would help as I have already stated this fact in this thread.Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

Soo... after downloading the installer from the website, it installs ANOTHER installer, which will then install PWI? -_-
Why is it in such a round about fashion? Could the creators of the game not just make it install completely when you use the installer? This is ridiculous...
And I did read the responses. But I was so frustrated, that I began to just skim over them after a few.
Thank you for clarifying this Allisandre. I kinda re-posted this in a few areas other than this thread. I'm sorry if asking this "overly asked" question irritated you, but to be honest, I am new to these forums, as well to "Perfect world" in its entirety.0 -

I just had this problem today (14Feb, 2013). What I did is I looked for a file named PWI_v676_Installer (this is the folder corresponding to the installer I downloaded today, the most current version via direct download from server). You can use explorer to find it. After finding this folder, I looked for the "install" file inside that folder, then I right-clicked on in to Run As Administrator. After this, it started installing the files, with the PWI wallpapers in the background and everything. After it finished, I'm back in the game again.0
