it's a tank pet, so give it a skill that'll help it tank. like threaten.

    What Lenie said about threaten.

If u find ur pet doesnt hold aggro , just keep icicle Maxed , its a great agro skill and they arent that many land Water mobs . + u have Roar for Emergencies.

Keep Icicle and tough Maxed (if u plan to keep him for LONG before u get a legendary pet) and try searching for a Threaten Scroll at the Auction house (usually they put them for lower price than the Zoologist)

i'm a big fan of the Glacial walker...you may keep him as a second tank just in case you got your herc.

    Here's what's on my glacial

    1. Icicle (maxed)- an elemental Bash skill that's deadly for fire mobs and bosses like Rankar, Wyvern of FB/BH51 and Drake of BH/FB59

    2. Roar(maxed)-panic button, holds agro nicely. You can replace this with Bash or Fleashream if you want more damage from your glacial. Keep those skills maxed as well.

    3. Tough(maxed)-he's a tank pet, you want him to hold up more to those critters.

    4. Threaten (maxed)- a really nice debuff, causes the mob/ boss to deal lesser damage. Even if you aren't the main tank, this helps out also whoever is tanking so they can save money from repair bills on their armor.

    Hope this helps.

One somewhat interesting option would be shriek, since interrupts are good.

Or howl, since improving your magic attacks is always nice.

(Threaten and tough have been mentioned, and are reasonable options for surviving in a pinch)

But for sheer damage it would be hard to beat an extra bash-like.

Personally i went for full aggro skills. My glacial walker had:
    -Bash
    -Icicle
    -Flesh Ream
    -Roar
And it was going preety well.I admit tough and threaten are nice skills for tanking but you only use them 15/60 and 15/30 seconds and if your pet cant keep aggro then it wont be the tank.

i would say, if u have the money to support it, to get the glacial walker the exact skill a herc gets. including bash or flesh ream.

b:sweat Not just a necro but horrible advice. It is actually now much cheaper to actually buy a herc than it is to invest on all three of its skills... Just adding Bash to the Walker's original skill set, and keeping everything up to level should, should be more than enough to deal with any reasonable PvE demands on Veno.
