Is it just me or has the payout on the packs changed?
Over christmas, i opened 2000 packs & got 2 items ( 1 charm & 1 primeval stone )
Since new year, i must have opened 500 packs, all i got was a charm
Even the dragon point items have lowered considerably

If this is the way that PWI are going, then i can now understand why half my friends are quitting.
This gaming is now starting to fail, give it 2 years, this game won't even exist, especially the way things are going b:surrender

    Wouldn't be surprised if they secretly reduce chance of getting items from packs.

    Alltho that's extremly unlucky, I dont really think they have lowered the chance. Some people get a SoT in 10 or less packs and some dont ever get anything, its just chance. Just like some people win huge amount of money first time they play the lottery but most people never ever get anything but small amounts of money from 50+ year of gambling.

    Do like me, get sad for a while, then start to gamble again. Pack addiction ftw! (altho i never charge for packs, and i never open more then 100 of them xD)

    Just another QQ thread, like nerfing TT drops.

    You can't be sure to get anything good from packs, because a chance is not a stable value. It can happen to drop tokens for ever.
    Achieved R9 before it was mainstream.

    yeah gamble is bad.

    also its weird because in my server you will see one person racking up tons of ****,prob some of the dedicated cs'ers on there,have some kinda vip **** for buying so much ****.These people seriously have issues.
    This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

    If you don't think there was a nerf---then you never bought packs for 1 gold each. Those first 500 packs, was nearly garunteed to get atleast one if not more sometings every 50 packs. After that first price drop, it took 100 or more.

    It's just your perception. The stats haven't changed on anything.

    The game went into the gutter the day they released the anniversary pack. Gratz for catching up to the rest of us.

    Since when was gambling meant to be fair? Rofl! Idiot... gambling in general was meant to make ton of people lose. How else would a casino make money if they did not rip off almost everyone that participated in their scemes?
    WTB PWI 2008 where people were thinking more about doing good rather than pretending to be.

    Nah i would think for a game, they shouldn't rip off the pay outs and should make it attractive to customers to buy packs.

    You got to open quite many thousands of packs to make reliable statistic about drop changes. I believe, without own statistic, that ones on pwdatabase are accurate and packs are -EV

    Which packs are you opening? The different packs do have different items and different percentages.

    Sounds like you had bad luck. I have HORRIBLE luck with packs. I never gamble.

    I don't know the OP, but I do know he is not exaggerating about the number of packs. Sometime before christmas, there was a promotion where buying 100 of a certain pack gave you 5 demon/sage event cards. Taking the reward from your mailbox caused 5 consecutive messages to be broadcast via a "duke shouts" message for all to see. Over the course of a few days I saw that message tons of times with BringinDeath's name on it (I personally counted over 50 of them).

    That said, based on the "97%" figure cited earlier for the odds of getting tokens from a single pack, the odds of getting all tokens in 2,000 packs is:

    0.000000000000000000000000349517183847266% (in the neighborhood of the odds of winning 3 different powerball lotteries in 3 tickets)

    I open pack like 1-2 times each year, last night I decided to use a bit of money from NW to buy gold in AH, I bought 22 golds (already had 75 silvers) and bought 50 emperor's packs.

    I guess I was lucky I got:

    -Sky cover ring
    -hp charm (considering it's 10m now it's good)
    -Warsong Waistband Inscription - 10
    -warsoul: arkarsja
    -rest tokens

    I don't know, but it look like that people that rarely buy pack got more luck, while some people claim open over a thousand without got a single thing.

    Yeah some of us just have really lousy luck. Over the years since I have played this game I've opened way more packs than I'd even care to count... Best thing I've ever gotten was a hp charm, and those have been very far & few between : /

    Best thing I ever got was a phoenix ticket from perfect chest when it came out, and thats the only actual non-token item I've ever gotten(59th try), everything else has been a token or perfect token. Yeah my luck sucks BAD. I find others who get chips 24/7 from BH and others who can't even get past +1 or +2 on refines, while in another method of luck(packs, refine, or BH) have a higher amount of good luck in it.
