Hello, Im thinking about playing PW:I and just want an opinion if its worth starting or not, not sure what class I wanna be yet, (can someone tell me the most and least popular class, i dont mind going popular classes, but i prefer something a little less generic :) thank you) Umm so ye, Hi and if i start playing hope to see nice people in game :)

    Hi there and welcome!

    Some people will tell you that this game is dying and not worth playing, others will say it is.
    In the end it's all up to you. So give it a try to see if you like it or not.

    As for the classes. Assassin is a popular choice (mostly for PVE farming though). Wizzards seems to be neglected these days. b:lipcurl

    Anyway, go check out the Class Discussion and see what strikes you fancy.

    Fun game all in all, give it a try you'll never know if it fun or not unless you try it yourself.

    start with a class that you think you'd be comfortable with playing, the classes really boil down to what their role is.

    Hello! n_n

    Personally I think this game is really worth the try. It's a game
    suitable for both people who want some hard kicking actions and to those
    who just want to socialize around. X3

    As for the classes, do a little research for all and see for yourself
    what really suits you most. Playing a class you really like is the best. ;)

    Oh susa and your nonsense.
    Game is really pretty and not so bad, just find active guild and friendly people, but dont just ask and beg for help for every little thing you do.
    We will add r9 they said... it will be fun they said...

    Oh I dont like to beg, im the entire opposite, so much so if someone even offers me something I apologise for taking it and just double check if they are sure they wanna give whatever they are giving to me, to me :P

    Asking on these forums will get you many different opinions but the best would be to try it out yourself 0.0

    And there are plenty of friendly people around that will help you on difficult quests, bh and the like.

    Can't agree here lol, mages are more popular than ever, they got a strong boost with all those new skills/skill changes. And just look at those R9 3rd cast weapons... b:shocked. Mages were once only popular in tw factions, but since a pvp instance has become the major farming instance, you even can become rich with a mage atm.

    And don't go for an assassin if you can't afford it. Assasins are only good in a long run - if you plan to farm thousands of hours. Then you can get coins back for other toons. Crappy assassin are useless and not wanted in any squad. They are even not good in mass pvp like nations wars, they are just cheap targets.

    You should start with a cleric or barb if you want to play for free. They are both wanted in every squad. And a cleric can even run every bh (daily quest for exp + coins) with just hh90 gear/weapon = very cheap). Don't take the free g12 morai gear/weapon set at level 95, most ppl don't understand that it is as good as hh99 for heals and won't team up with you :P.

    That's because the Morai g12 isn't good for heals. b:shocked

    Cleric heals rely on the base magic attack of a weapon. The g12 weapon is good for quests because of the slaying levels it comes with but it has the base stats of a hh70 weapon.

    The hh 90 weapon is actually easily farmable and has much better healing power. b:sweat

    As for the g12 morai armor set: it has meh stats. Its not very good but not entirely useless and very free.

    I think it's worth a try ^^
    While low lvl is really easy to play, the only thing is that beginner areas are becoming a little deserted... Because most of people are now high lvl but at least on Harshlands you can still find some lowbies on those areas :)
    About the classes, and as everyone already said, it's up to you to choose the best class for you :P
    My 1st character (and main) was an Assassin, and basically I chose it because it looked pretty (I didn't know anything about the game that time xD)     b:victory b:chuckle

    It's also a good class to start with, very independent, you can easily do almost all things yourself, thanks to your pet :D (it's nice for when there's no one around to help you with something :P)
    And you can choose being a melee or magic character :)
    Some people say it's not good a Venomancer be both (I tried and a friend told me my character was becoming weak on both physical and magic, so I just turned into a full magic Venomancer basically...) :s
    And I think people always like having a Venomancer in squads b:pleased

    Umm...are the pets, summon and leave em...or do you choose what you want your pet to do..skill wise? :)

    Except your 1st pet that you receive from one of your 1st quests, all the pets you want you have to tame it.
    You tame it and it appears as an egg in your inventory. After you hatch the egg on the NPC Pet Manager it goes to your pet bag. There is where your pets are saved. And you call them when you need them, they'll appear, and when you don't need it you make they come back to the pet bag, but they'll never leave you unless you take them out of pet bag :)
    And yes, your pets have skills. The pet already come with certain skills but you can make they learn new skills and forget some they've learnt. And you control everything the pet do (obviously), you control when you want the pet to attack and which skill you want them to use :)

    right, mixed it up with the free g15 morai magic sword lol. Which has almost same magic attack as hh99. Well tbh idc about cleric heals anyway. BB has always same dmg reduction, independent which weapon you have, heal effect of bb might be abit lower with worse weapon.. but who does recognize that lol. I want clerics in my squad for buffs and bb at boss.. So I'd take any cleric to any bh...

    Though as i heard, mystic's pets takes up a lot of mp
    And you should definitely try this game, i dunno but this game gives me a feeling of uniqueness and that ur not the same as everybody else. And the graphics are stunning too, and theres places that u wish just exists in real life
    And guys, i dont think the op would know about the morai's g16's and stuff b:surrender

    Hey there and welcome,

    I'm a veno myself now for 4 years. Really good class and loved in squads. What someone said above here is true. Right now mystics can be stronger, but I have seen many pictures of a new update for veno's coming this way, wich will balance mystic & veno again. But even without the picture, it all depends on the players ofcourse.

    But like many people here said, give it try. You don't like it? Deinstall it! You like it, then you will have a nice time...

    pick a class,play it a bit,pick anothe class play it a bit,pick anotehr class play it a bit,because thats what you will do,try to enjoy the quest a bit,then you will complain about money issues ingame coin...then you will proceed with your lil credit card to sell gold to try to keep up with others,then after than maybe do a few bh's at 100,some nation wars,lil bit of this and that..then just go afk for a while everyday after the dailies,and then poof..you will realise you spent to much time,coin or money in a rinse and repeat world.
    This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

    But see that mystics are one of the most expensive classes just because of mana waste, you have to ALWAYS carry pots or have a charm on your mystic, or you'll burn all your mp in 5 minutes :\
