What to do @ 70+?

Not sure if it's appropriate to be asking questions about 70+ gameplay here, but here we go.

So after a long hiatus, I'm back on PWI and recently hit 71. I spend most of my time leveling through regular questing.

Now I haven't gotten any sort of good quest reward armor/weapons in forever, so I figure I should have already been looking to some late/endgame content (TT, FC, etc.)

So my question for you guys is, what exactly should I be doing at my level?

There's so many options of different quests, dailies, dungeons, to do in this game. Since I've played the game very on and off due to computer issues, this is my first character to get to this level.

My days on PWI consist of:
1. PWI School Teacher Sign In
2. Faction Base Dailies
3. Questing
4. Occasional Boss Quests if I can get the help

I don't Crazy Stone or Phoenix Valley because I'm already behind on quests. I've never tried Cube of Fate because I'm a full-MAG Cleric and don't want to get murdered lol. I haven't done any BHs, which is something that seems to be staple for everyone else.

So basically, I'm new at being a high-ish level. What should I change about my daily habits on PWI to be more productive?

Thanks for your time. :)

    You've answered your question:

    BH

This is where you'll make most exp gains, plus learn squad play.

Most characters don't start getting decent until past lvl70. When you hit lvl80, you can start working with TT squads

I recommend you decide to level up a crafting skill and gather mats.

    Keep calm.

And do more crazy stone quest and phoenix valley :Pb:chuckle

Try to get a hold of any event that might be going on.b:victory

And if you ever leave your pc off to sleep(LE GASP*), then do not do it :Pb:shocked

Better get your rump to reflection realm and get some exp while snoozing.b:cute

There isn't much else to do besides quests, BHs, events when available, and TT if you want your armor. I don't suggest TT though unless you have a decent trustworthy squad in mind. A lot of people are getting ripped off lately with random squads.

I honestly never find enough time to do everything, so if you are behind on quests and actually want to complete them, I suggest you do those. A lot of new quests were added with the new expansion (although some are a bit buggy).

Thanks for your reply! I'll start grinding out some BHs.

TT at 80 sounds good. I'm guessing there's not too much of a point in getting TT60/70 weps considering you outgrow them pretty quickly anyways?

& ahh alright, my Apoth is only 3 at the moment, I'll have to work on that. :)

Haha thank you! Should I do PV and CS even though I'm already backed up on quests?

& Yes, I reflect every night thanks to the School Sign In daily. :D Thanks again.

Thanks for your post, sounds like a good plan.

Yeah, I remember a few expansions back trying to level after 40 was horrible! Raging Tides expansion fixed 40+ but 50+ was still bad haha. Seems they balanced everything out now. :) Awesome.

Hopefully I can get some runs sorted out with my faction then. Getting scammed on dungeon runs happens in every MMO unfortunately. I've seen some pretty bad incidents in FFXI.

Yes you should :P if you can get the time it could be worthy :p

Those are one of the dailies i try to take care of soon :P because they are timed, the others are the Lucidsilver/gold quests...and the PW teacher :P

But if your quest slots are clogged :P then clear some quests first then try to have always some 4-6 slots open :P and maybe it could help :P

Just trying to be helpful here :P wish you happy gaming b:chuckle

All very helpful, thanks a lot! :)

A question about the Lucid quests actually... isn't there one that you can do daily without an item? Like you can pickup a quest at a certain server time?

I recall (before I hiatus'd) having some Divine Order that let me pick up dailies from one of them, I forget if I lost the item or something. :(

    Ummm...yes!

The divine orders still exists! b:victory

Those are extra helpful too because you get to fight some mobs (sometimes even elite mobs :O)

And they give good exp (i think :/ )

And with your Bh's they give you some Divine orders too :P when you turn the quest to the Head hunter.

And btw did you get the Dreamchaser pack? there is a necklace there that boost's exp gain , timed tho, but it's worth it :P

About the lucidsilver/gold quests, they are open at 20/21 pm server time so :P get ready to take them at the end of day .>_<

    Have a nice day >_> b:chuckle

Cube is very easy for any cleric, assuming the cleric is built right. You should go ahead and get tt70, tt80 is terribad for clerics and can be skipped. BH is something you'll want to start doing to learn squad play, if you don't want your quests so far behind you can always dump the exp in a genie and use the spirit for skills.

I have to disagree with the above posts. They seem to want you to focus more on Bh and less on quests. Make sure you finish what available quests you have first. Doing them will give you a steady cash flow so you can get your skills and some new pieces of gear. Doing bh after bh will cause you to level quickly without any income. Soon you'll be level 80 with a mountain-load of quests, and trust me, it's hard to get the motivation to tackle them. Basically, what I say is:
    1) Quest first! Get your money and steady amount of exp
    2) When you are out of quests, do your bh
3)Fill the rest of the space with crazy stone, phoenix valley, tt, etc

Enjoy each level and what it offers, don't feel pressured to level up really fast!

you're joking, right? with all the quest coins you get you'd be lucky to upgrade 1 skill b:chuckle

i'd also participate in weekly events like celestial tigers(monday), dragon temple(tuesday), nation wars(friday+sunday), etc. expect to die a lot in the last 2 ones though b:laugh

I've used this method for all my characters...Been able to max out all necessary skills and even get the sage/demon versions after 89. The "steady cash flow" isn't much at all (a few mil at most), but doing quests will make sure you have reasonable amounts of coin, exp, and spirit. Questing and grinding bought my bm her tt90, and I never had the problem of not having enough spirit or coin to level a skill. Of course, you need some patience to do this, but there's plenty of time to learn to play your class. The slower you level, the better you play.

And I agree with your last point, tigers and nation wars are a great way to get a feel of the end-game experience, even if you do die a lot. There's also some coin to be made, so go for it!

Thanks everyone, you've all been very helpful!

Someone said on the last page to not really bother with TT until 80+, is that accurate?

If anyone has anything else to add, please feel free.

No, that's not correct. Get tt70 and then tt90. There is also some decent mold gear you can replace certain pieces with like the sleeves of sea captain at level 77 instead of the tt70 wrists. The reason I say this is because TT80 green gear is terribad for clerics and can be skipped. TT80 gold is obsolete too fast to really be worth the investment. As far as weapon goes you might as well use the Sakayumni's light from the divine contracts since it's free .

    Thanks for your correction!

And for that TT70 gear I should be running 1-2 and 2-1, if my research is correct.

Would you mind refreshing me on those Divine Contracts? I don't recall how to get them. :c

Do your BH I everyday to get a divine contract, which you can use to accept additional quests some of which provide honors. The honors are tokens you can redeem for different weapons and potions and runecrafting stuff. At 50+ the purple and blue contracts are the ones that give you the honors. You can find more detailed info about it here: http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/Divine_Contrac If you find yourself leveling too fast from BH 1 simply dump the exp into a genie and use the spirit for your skills.
