Hi everyone. I was only able to find one thread about this, and it wasn't all that helpful. How does a wiz go about beating Vile Tauren? The explosion charm is useless. My hits do absolutely nothing to him. I can use pots to stay alive for a long time, but at the rate I do damage, it will take me 45 - 60 mins to kill him! What does everyone else do to kill this mini-boss?

    I managed to kill him on my psy with some difficulties, but i found out that i had to hit him one time with a spell, then use the dragon charm before it worked.. Why i don't now :)

    It is a fairly new boss addition to game. I was asked to help kill him, and he had a defense buff (like dragon in aeu, not purgable huge damage reduction) and it was seemingly taking forever (by forever i mean would taken like 2 minutes to killb:sad) but then it disapeared and it died in 1 shot. If you can seem to get that buff to disapear, just ask someone for help

    Seems for these charms to work, you need to activate them within melee distance.

    Humm, I did'nt have any problem killing it multiple times, and I never used the charm. So I can't comment on the charm.

    But having healed a few low lv, I would suggest you get a mystic or cleric to help you.

    Skills that ignore invoque-like damage reduction buffs like Clerics Mark of Weakness, or Mystics Absorb Soul will deal full damage to the boss.

    stupid quest . i bet devs tested this (IF they tested) in God Mode. Amateurs or new devs to game. In nov 2008 (1 month after open beta PWI i think) when i started to play there wasn't any stupid quests like this one. Tried to finish this 4 TIMES with my cleric 66 and every time died (that 40k exp reward its not worth it when you die 4 times..they should refund our EXP lost and fix/improve that stupid quest/mission) . Damaged the boss with Cyclone but not enough. His DAMAGE is insane and that stun makes imposible to use any potion to heal. That dragon scroll or whatever was to "lower the shield" ( that tauroc has a shield like Enterprise from Star Trek Online ??:))) ) , expired....15 minutes .. Amateurs b:shutup

    I see this is the 2nd thread about the shielded tauroc with ppl who can't complete this quest so it's not just me.

    Will trash it for now.
