How much does the Time-zone matters, when choosing a server? :3

Hii, what i mean is, do I regret it if i choose a server with another time-zone than the one I live in, later in game? (: ...I'm really new, but have played a little in Momaganon (I'm from Europe), but really, I want to play in Heavens Tear or Dreamweaver! :D...
Ps. I also have another question; Is it just me, or can you not see which lvl other players are in? I haven't been interacting much with other players, I'm a little shy xI... lol

    Well, all the in-game events are based on the server clock and happen once a day.

    Also, Territory Wars, which is basically massive faction vs faction PvP warfare, takes place on server clock.

    So if either of those interest you, you're best off playing on a server closer to your home timezone.

    Depends on your personal schedule. If you live in Europe, and go on a west coast server, you'll have to stay up late or wake up really early, to take place in any of the big events. Nation Wars, most Territory Wars, COA, etc all would occur very very early for you. About 5am'ish. (depends where you are in Europe)

    To see other player's level, select them, right click, and choose Player Info. Their level will be in the upper right corner of the window that pops up. Sometimes, if you're laggy, it will say 0.

    Ok, thanks, I can understand that i may should stay where I am xD...
    The only thing that bugs me is, that it seems to me, that there are too few playing in Europe then, for an example, I'm a Venomancer - I have tamed one of those little Polar Bears and two of those cats, by silkrigde (?) -and i understand that they are supposed to be pretty rare, so it just seem a little... lame, almost :3...

    If it is that easy to get rare pets, I need to join a europe server. DW is very populated and there are always people on even late at night. I'm not good at timezones so im unsure of when the events would happen for you, but it would be an weird time. If you can deal with events being really early morning for you and stuff go for it.

    I've just joined Heavens Tears :D... And it is, the first time i accidently killed the cat, then i read about it - played for some days, so the next two i went back, same time, and tamed it. Sold one... Then i read about where the polar bear would be, when I came to the place at a random time, it was there... so.. pretty easy (x
    Ps. I am still not sure about server, I'm trying to lure the community on the different ones, lol (x

    I've got a character on HT too, and it's pretty similar to DW. Both are perfectly fine PvE servers with lots of people. Hope you have fun. =D

    I head on Europe is alot less lil to do like events than US servers but thats just some stuff i heard. Im from GMT+1 myself and playing Sanctuary, its here like 9 hours later, thats West coast, East Coast is closer to Europe, but Heavens Tear is a PvP only server, meaning you can get killed easier by players. so for starters i suggest maybe learning game on european server, and maybe if u know the game perhaps start over? or try learning the game on an US server (like i did, its fun)

    EU servers run on +1 GMT
    East coast US is -5 GMT
    West coast US is -8 GMT

    Most events take place between 20:00-22:00 server time
    so assuming you're also in +1 this would take place between 2:00-4:00 local time if you were on a East server and between 05:00-07:00 local time if you were on West server

    I currently play on EU server and its pretty much dead after midnight b:surrender.
