Why is r8 recast so expensive? NV gear, i think, is better and costs way less.
Almost no guilds are doing trials and it will take 1508 NW tokens to get all the mats + 20mil for only the weapon.

If the cost of it would be lowered, it would be lil weaker alternative to nv or r9 gears with considerable price.
We will add r9 they said... it will be fun they said...

    Im not sure about the r8 recast weapon costs (I do know that if you want +def lvls, r8 recast is definitely best way to go). As far as the r8 recast armor set (4 pieces : chest, legs, feet, wrist), it is only 682 Supply Tokens for all 4 pieces to be recasted initially... and only 19 Supply Tokens per reroll + 1 Chienkang (or whatever that stone is called) to be able to have some chance of directing rerolls at the spirit of the forge (next to east arch elder/delta entrance).

    Considering the nirvy t2 has some nice effects to it, while the t3 is more just +stats and no real effects, the r8 recast actually gives you the best way to have a chance to get what you want on your gear. It is hardly expensive in the spectrum of things. Consider the fact that first you need to make tt or lunar gears, THEN you can first cast nirvy, THEN you can second cast nirvy, THEN you need a mold and im not sure what else (possibly them basic badges, I havent really bothered looking into mats for them considering I dont care for what the set or even parts of it has to offer).

    The r8 recast I would think is definitely cheaper to make then the t3 nirvy set. And as for the R9 set, definitely more expensive than either. Even going R9 or r8 recast, I would suggest only going with nirvy t2 helm and cloak, saying you dont go with matchless wings and some other helm. Whatever the cost is in Supply Tokens, it cant be that bad and if you get the effects you want would certainly be worth it if not going r9 or t3nirvy sets. The nirvy t3 helm & cloak only seem worth it if you are going with the full nirvy t3 set, and the nirvy t3 set does have decent stats compared to r9.1.

    I just dont see where the costs come into play though, farm NW and it gives plenty of tokens to achieve any direction you want to go with. you also always have the option of NW farming a set which will help you better farm NW to begin with. Not everything needs to be "THAT is the best gear I will have" and thats the end of your story. Why not take it in stages and enjoy the game more? As far as trials go, the chances of actually getting anything you wanted were minimal anyways... probably the main reason I havent even heard of trials even being run since NW. Otherwise, plenty of factions liked WC'ing that their faction was doing trials. Lol... trials... Good luck whatever you end up doing. b:victory

    R8cast using helm+cloack nirvy G15 its better than a full set of nirvy G15 but worse than G16. In my case (seeker) I traded the 13 def lvl for 15 attk lvl, 4% crit, 1500HP and higher def values when is compared to g15. So basically if u dont have acces to frequent Full warsong squads to get all the badges and molds u are better going R8cast than g15. Now that i have all my R8cast parts+g16blades(my only g16 part)+g15 helm and cloack i can reach 93 attck lvl and have 9,2k HP sharding with flawless citrines and having a just +4 set, so basically R8cast is a cheap alternative to have a decent set and it cost 170 each gear part not even close to 1508 tokens.

    Getting purify on weapon makes recast 8 better than nirvy for a cleric.

    Getting purge on an axe is only available to recast 8(bms may or may not use a gof axe too.)

    Recast 8 is soon to be the best armor in the game for aps toons once more people try and get lucky.


    Recast 8 has plenty of advantages to justify it's cost.

    Axe without zerks is </3; use da pole to purge; it hits faster anyways so a bit better chance of proc.

    and yea R8r aps gear is best, esp. when you can spare the 1.2K HP boost on BM r8r
