Having issues updating my client. I keep getting a nondescript error.

    I have that exact same problem. I also even tried the manual patches, but they keep on telling me the client version is the same and unable to proceed.

    b:angry come on whats up with this since I'm seeing a few posts about this!

    Edit: can you give me specific steps on how you came to this error?
    Did you auto-update using [EN]Patch1 or [EN]Patch2?
    There's evidence that it may be our Content Delivery Network having a hiccup in delivering auto patch data to you.

    [En] Patch1/2 presents the same results.

    Client needs to be updated, so thus pressing on the patch button etc. Then it hangs. Then it says error.

    Manual patches will not work because it says the client is updated. (the client shows 684).

    Are you suggesting I should try to manual patch next? :P


    My client was up to date and I'd played just hours before the patch.
    I first attempted to patch with [EN]Patch2 I believe and the error in the screenshot above appeared. I selected try again a few times then attempted to switch over to the second patch which yielded the same result.

    I have tried:
    Both auto-update patches.
    Restarting from where patch left off & restarting the update entirely.
    Restarting Client.
    Turning off all antivirus software.
    Attempting to Verify (same error appeared when attempting to verify).
    Downloading the game again entirely (same result)

    IF: you are currently at client version 684

    Close your game client and open this link:

    http://pwi-ns.perfectworld.com/patches/manual//ec_patch_684-687.cup

    That is the manual patch and it will work.

    its Not working for me i Tried Auto update and Manual update im at client version 676 idk y but i am and i also re installed Direct download and it still is not working any ideas?
