This is the same reason I go in. In one of the earlier fights I ended up going after a barb running the flag. I used charging orb to cut him off on the hill. A sin on my side came out of stealth and stunned him. And together we tried to stop him from scoring. The barb was 100+, I wasn't doing much damage but I ended up being able to stun him two more times. I was hoping to stall him long enough until help could get there, but couldn't and he scored. After he scored he pm'd me and said good fight.
It was a fun moment, even though I didn't stop him it was a great experience. To me that is what NW should be about.0 -
the rewards from NW are what stopped me from giving up on this game completely i dont feel like spending years farming **** to be able to compete in other pvp events and im poor so i cant cash shop all of the **** i need.

1+ when its full of r9 and those r9 apear more and more in ur lands ur attacking or defending the fun dies but its ok if i can get something out of it like tokens.
if u dont belive me look how dead pvp is in the open map compared to early 2009 or late 2008 hell even early 2010 was ok year.0 -

People have gotten so desperate to win tokens that they now have groups of seekers setting up vortex at spawn points, killing people as soon as they enter. Everyone is camping spawn points and resorting to low blow tactics to win. It's interesting watching how far greed will make a person sink.
If you take the tokens out the high levels will go back to Nirvana and quit whining about having to share with lower levels and those of us who actually want to have fun can. From now on all the tokens I get I'm NPCing, it's dirty money and I don't want it.

and the reason PK is basicly dead is because you guysjsut go to 1 location to pk lol dumb as hell,plus since the map is basicly a ghost town,yeah i guess that helps on the deadness of pk..but still PK shouldnt be announced it just should be done with no mercy.
Devs should make something on the map to fight over that spawns every so often in different locations to fight over to bring mass pk together on the map itself and not in a lame instance...and yes this pk people will lose things liek regular pk,so it can benefit alot heh pfft whocares.This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

I survived a ton of spawn killing with my ****-geared cleric in 20 vs. 7 of us, so I don't see what the problem is. Keep doing NW until you can figure out how to get around spawn killing. See it as gaining experience with some money on the side?
... maybe use the money you get from tokens to improve your gear so that you can survive better?

I think the tokens were the best idea ever. Finally took control from Sins making money from every place you turned and acting like they alone, owned Nirvy.
Players can now grade up their gear and use their skills instead of spark, click and make money. The only ones really complaining are the sins.
As well, much, much better then TW where players spent their own good money to have all their hard work go to the leader of a guild, who ripped them off. IJS0 -

If you can't deal with people being too high leveled for you then don't go into NW?
I go in there, TT80 green, 3K+ contrib usually, roll in kill clerics and mystics, spam stun on people, kite idiot 100+ claw BMs that chase me around even though all they have to do is pop out a decent pole and oneshot me with farstrike/smack/drake's ray
NW rewards are my only way of making money effectively now. I'm about to hit 89, must get sage/demon skills, prep for endgame gear; all that cost money; my operating cost is probably the cube of what it was at level 60s. All that takes money and NW is where I make it.
Remove that and with no DQ you **** over lower levels even moreChannels

I agree. Since I already got my recast... we should totally and competely remove any and all traces of tokens from nation war and anywhere else in PWI. Going to be a lot easier to kill people if no one else can g16 or 2nd cast themselves.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

After reading through the responses on this post I don't think most of you understand what I'm saying. It's not being attacked or even dying that bothers me (that is not at all what I'm talking about), it's the inconsiderate behavior people are showing while in NW. I just do not approve of people using dirty tactics to win. And I think if there was less money to be made in here people would be more interested in having fun; instead of resorting to such pettiness to make that money.
On a side note, why does everyone assume my gear sucks? I've worked hard for my gear and it is very good for my level. My Current Gear0 -

It doesn't matter what your gear is good for what level. There is no level range in nation war, and more then likely there will never be. You are no longer in your dinky tourny pound. You are just as likely to go up against level 105 +13 4th stage r10 as level 60 gearless caster.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.

It's a competitive environment, you do what you need to in order to increase your score and keep enemy nations from scoring. Get used to it or get out.0 -

I for one would LOVE a return of Nirvana. It would take the pressure off.
Every week there are people in every nation who do well, and others who do not. If rewards were tailored more to how the individual did, and less how the overall nation did, I think people would be less upset.
Personal contribution should give the majority reward, and Nation rank should add a bonus on top of that. That way if say, you got 10k contribution, but were in a losing nation, you would still get a reward that more accurately reflected your participation. That way there is still motivation to try to help your nation win, but if there became no chance for a win there would still be motivation to continue.0 -

Wouldn't matter quite as much as it used to, since canny/rap prices seem to be stabilizing, but it's more about giving options and alternatives. The same OP people will be dominating however they do it, whether it's TT, NW, Vana, Lunar or Warsong.0 -

Last I remember before NW it was getting hard to find squads for regular vana and everyone was running caster. Also there seemed to be a big increase in non aps squads, in fact I found it harder to find a 5.0 squad than a no-aps-specified squad. However, I don't think flooding the market with even more cannies and raps will help anything.
Personally I think the best option for vana would be to add vile bosses. Along with essences and nice molds on the 99 key vile boss. Suddenly you have a huge incentive to log on, collect keys and anyone at all with 99 keys would be welcome in a squad.
Also same for delta. Adding a vile boss that drops weapon molds right at the end, with a few regular vile bosses along the way would be a big incentive to start full runs again despite the coin loss, and a lot of fun.0 -

That'll never happen. The point of the forges is to use the tokens. That means revamp the game and take out the forges. Not gonna happen. If they did that, then you might as well remove the whole instance for everyone, including low lvl.R9s3 Beast w/Demon Facepalm0 -

I am Soni and i am a spawn killer... i know i know... its a dirty job but somebody has to do it.
Me and my barb friends love to kill spawning clerics and sins but mostly BMs.
Trought the times when i have attended NW i have spawn killed whenever i had the chance and i am not so sure how i feel about that that's why i came to this club to discuss it with fellow spawn killers.
Should we stop or is it just a part of the open PK that NW is and is there no moral in war ?

how will taking the rewards out help low levels / poorly geared survive against high levels / well geared?
if you want open pk without high value rewards, go to theater, its open every night, and nobody gives a **** about it cause the rewards suck, and you will still get killfarmed by people with better gear than you.
you can also go to dragon temple on tuesday, where the chests have all been dug after 10 minutes and there is nothing to do but pk, and all the high geared people will kill farm you.
or you can go to tournament on thursday where all the high geared people will kill you
or you can tw where all the high geared people will 1 shot you
