I think the most amusing thing is when the non TW factions/people cooperate to run flags and PK/Control the instance better than the TW factions/people. It's almost as if they want to win and get good rewards or something. Cooperation and Coordination - not a pro-PK and TW practice?
Last night on my veno in one instance, I grabbed the flag 4 times in a row. The first two times I held the flag for over 2 minutes each roughly and most of that time was spent running backwards because even though it was a 20v20 battle, NOBODY would actually help me with the flag. No cleric was healing, everyone was running around trying to get as many kills as possible. At one point, people even ran away to chase 1 random noob that was flying across the map. Really? I ended up dying both times because at that point in time I had nowhere to go and was just surrounded by people and as I run back, I see a bunch of people just standing around/4v1ing random people. 3rd time I got the flag, I popped out of the middle pit only to be surrounded by 11 or so people, not a single friendly on my T menu, fun. 4th time I got it, I solo ran it off the side of the map, alone, again. Then some RoC people joined in and finished off the fight as everyone else was downing around.
I ended up getting 2967 points from all the damage I took and actually doing what I was supposed to. What did the other scrubs get, I wonder?Just getting ready for Christmas.

maybe because frost's hax squad was camping next to light's base and executing light nation's ppl trying to free one of 4 ways that lead out of base...
hax squad was there even after winning, waiting till they get attacked again...instead of coming back and help own nation to free themselves from base prison...

I don't think there's been an instance where one nation had no super geared squads. There's enough of them that every nation will get at least one. The problem comes with how well that squad knows how to play.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Unfortunately everyone who dc'd when entering NW on Sunday went into Frost nation.
It seems that once Frost was in the lead, everyone had it in mind to destroy Frost nation and not looking at how much land the Dark was getting. People need to stop focusing on destroying the nation that gets an early lead.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

In my experience... its usually the tt guys who are the most greedy. I had on numerous occosions been let to dig flag by r9s (archer+holy path+alacrity+charger=max speed all the way until capture). And yet... I had tt guys that would yell at me that he is suppose to dig the flag.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

What the heck you crapping on about. What part of my post lead you to believe I have any interest in talking about the greed comparison of tt vs r9 people, peoples eating habbit, or that I was interested in complaining about r9s.

If I have to admit to anything, it would be that I did over react, worrying that it would happen more often than it really has and to that extent. its working the way its supposed to work, you are supposed to get frustrated by being undergeared. it is supposed to motivate you to gear up and cash shop.
the point of the game is to convince people to spend money on the game.
the real problem is undergeared/low level people want to jump around and kill stuff too, and they are just as anxious to get into a fight as capable people, which is what ends up **** everyone, lvl 80 sins grabbing flags is GG. idiots who get too wrapped up in PK to pay attention to the flags is GG.
the flaw is that letting a bunch of fail randoms into a fight, precluding people who would help the fight, doesnt frustrate people to the point of spending money, because spending money wont help them get into the fight.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I was in Dark nation and was shocked how bad my team was at times. First few rounds we were spawn killed then i was locked into base for 30mins. Later i was lucky enough to finally break out but then noticed a few strange things. First two round i was swamped and died a number of times and took much more damage and got 1000 points . Then later when i broke out of base in two rounds i went 19/1 k/d in total and got roughly 500points ???. Still don't get how i get more points from being killed and damaged then actually killing people.
Aside from that the other glitch i noticed was the lands not giving the amount of people in them as i walked to them. Often they would say 0 people when they were full and once even being kicked back to base as i spawned into a land . On Friday i got the DC glitch where you can't even force log back in. Best way i found to fix that was to log into another account i had then back into my main account.
It will be nice in the future when they fix some of these problems and help clear up the base locking problem. Also at least to me id like to see squads removed. Sure its nice to be with friends and team mates but a more balanced base of players in all lands would make for a more interesting NW.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It's not a glitch. You get points for both dealing and receiving damage. This is why barbs are so great in NW since they soak up damage.
As for the squad thing, not all squads have a bunch of super high-end geared players... and even then it's the teamwork that matters most if the squad can avoid being split up. And even if they had perfect teamwork AND super gear AND managed to stay together the entire war AND never had anyone stuck in base at all AND won every battle they were in (see how many assumptions I'm making here in the favor of the super squad that aren't very realistic?) not all of those super OP squads will be in the same nation anyways so it's not like a single nation will have nothing but R9s while everyone else has TT90s and a single squad isn't going to win or lose the war for their nation... which is something that has been attested to plenty of times as is.(Insert fancy image here)0 -

If you can coordinate a squad of your nations top 20 players to go into a land then maybe they can get out instead of all rushing like a heard of zombies to the first free open war. It took like 8? Battles for Dark to finally do this and knock the squad I was in outta base locking them last night. Previous battles werent 100% newbs, and had a few well geared people (and a couple of them well played). But they didn't cooperate...nearly at all.
Finally, the last round had over 10 well geared people - get this - cooperating to finally knock us out. I dunno if it was random chance or planned, but well done. We woulda sat there with 6 people for the next hour if that kept up (the other squad locking you I think it took you guys another 30 minutes to get rid of).
Our team had decent to uber gear, but we won out of strategy. Too many of Dark's noobs and noobish people didn't concentrate on flag pulling, and instead did ???. I dont know what the hell they were doing (dying to our DDs?), as I was a flag minder so I rarely saw them other when they failed to stop us. We'd score 2-3k each (even the AA support people) each battle, and they'd bring in 1k or less (I asked). Why? Because we flag minded and cooperated, instead of PKed for points and ran around solo.
Use your nation chat. Pay attention to your nation chat. Or 2 groups of 5-6 people are gonna lock most of your nation in the base. Resulting in you maybe getting 100-300 points getting lucky to get 1 shot out of a zone that you took up space in. Or you could let some people get you OUT of the base, so you could earn thousands of points, instead of standing in a base staring at a map for an hour.
Nicely, they are increasing the territories "soon" so now its gonna take 3-4 squads to do that. But still, if you're stuck in the god damn base for 30 minutes, use your brain and your nation chat.pwcalc.com/bb6fc16982637a5c / pwcalc.com/28948ee5778526f50 -

I don't think we ever got pushed back until the last instance. Our squad got split up as we were moving and we landed against BiB squad. We practically had the win secured despite our disadvantage in gear and numbers but a certain barb whom I will leave unnamed, but I'll hint that he is a hunter of dogs, started digging the flag instead, screwed us over, and lost us the instance. After that there was 1 minute left to the NW so we just chilled in our base complaining about that barb.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Maybe certain things are intentional which can be argued that its working well enough. For that reason, I will leave that alone, but you have to admit, something don't seem quite right when your nation can make a much better defence from losing numerous valuable lands but it doesn't happen. Although I'll leave that alone, I'll mention that token distribution for coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th maybe flaud if its not intentional.
As for the land locking issue, I blame that mostly onplayers as a whole, and partly but to a lesser extent pw. In issues like this, its usually something missing. What players should have done was to recognise, come together, have a forum mod pass on and point out that nation war chat needs to be updated so players can make effective use of it.
A simple colour change alone would make a big difference and a filter option could make everything simple for all of us. At this point in time, we could either do that or blame most players for being greedy and dump here in ht, switch server and blame it on the greed and stupidity of players there also, and another server and the europe server too. you will get similar result each time.
Speaking for myself, if in a land lock situation, I have the option to filter out all but nation chat and see in red writing saying, "we have organised 20 r9s good at unlocking d10, so no one else attack d10", I would be much more likely to not attack d10 and I think majority atleast would agree with me on that.0 -

Now I have WC off during NW, but I have seen a few nation chats go right out and state what you talked about with having people ready to unlock the base. But the undergeared/underplayed scrubs still went in and made it a fail.
At the same time, if it was 10-20 of the fails in R9rr that I fought on Friday that FIVE PEOPLE were able to whoop (and only two of us had full or armor at R9rr), that would not have helped either. So identifying who can do what is also a concern.
I really think its going to take some time for the server as a whole to wisen up to allowing better strategies and allow the base to be unlocked. Mostly staying out of rushing the locked lands and letting people who have a better chance to beat the OP squad locking you in. But greed is a giant factor, and for some reason our server has large issues applying common sense to their greed viewpoints.

I just feel like I should mention that during the most recent sunday nation war. As 15m/s carrier no frosties kept up and I ecounter a dark bm and barb sitting in the water at river choak (I should prob also mention that I only got the flag cause a forst bm whom got there at least a good 5 second before me and probably already started to dig canceled and let me grab it). I manage to waltz pass them unopposed even though i used arch eva skill in anticipation of at least a stun attempt. But all hope is not lost as I did manage to see the bm on my way down the stairs after capturing the flag. I thanked him for letting me pass... and he called me fail for not killing him. In my defense... I would have killed him had I not get tped out cause of the win.
Moral of the story... never trust random nubs to defend. So i start NW by being swamped and base ***** and make more points dieing then i did later killing 19 people and dieing once in two rounds, also winning the round? So i get more points not killing people and just sit in White Voodoo and take hits? That makes NO sense i make more points dieing then i did killing . Logically that makes sense... but it doesn't always apply. I am not going to waste my time protecting that tt70 armor carrier when a stray arrow could drop him mid way. I also not going to attempt to kill a well guarded barb carrier when its 20 vs me. In both cases (which has happened to me before), I am much better off to kill as much as I can and wait for the next spawn.1.
