Archers buffs... useless...

anybody else thing pwi should make new self buff or team buff for archers? they r so worthless... compared to bm's, barbs, seekers, clerics, mystics, and psy's.
wings of protection, some skills and genies skills autmatically overides the speed buff and blazing arrow i never really had use for, i just it for chi lol

    Wings of protection needs its own icon. A 30 minute squad buff should never be overbuffed by a 10second buff.

    Er.. Blazing arrow adds extra damage..

    I mean idk how much it is in terms of damage dealt but I know it's damage... Regardless of how much it is we're dd's and damage is damage.

    I think they need to make it so blazing arrow can be over buffed by itself and so that wop gives evasion a bit more of a purpose in this game. Like ATM seekers are by far the most broken class yet with all their dex from holding a sword they have a fair amount of crit and all those defence levels and zerk on r9 weapons plus the best type of armour (ha which refines for more hp).

    Perhaps they could give us la people something to work with defensively like evasion other than condor which still only seems to be useful against melee classes like Aps sins bms and barbs running in to arma

    agreed, archer buffs need upgrades to prevent them from canceling each other. Wings of protection ends up being useless other then for chi when you use condor in real battle situations. Blazing arrow always helps though

    Yet Frost Blade is more useful than Condensed Thorn because it lasts longer. Frost Blade is probably more useful than Wings of Grace.

    Yep. Its basically a water version of blazing arrow for everyone in the squad. Should increase squad dps by a few percentage points given that many squads have 2-3+ phys dds (so many sins, bms and archers on my server).

    Edit: Totally thought you typed Wings of Protection not grace. Grace is one of the better archer skills, but since the thread was referring to buffs I assumed WoP.

    Good counter examples but neither of those is as frequent a problem as speed skills overriding wings of protection speed.

    Rarely does anyone get the full benefit of wings of protection's speed buff given how quickly it is discarded. Blood frenzy is somewhat akin to condor overriding normal evasion but the circumstances where you want to use blood frenzy are not as common as condor.

    I frequently get asked by people at start of bh abbadon and seat runs, to buff them with speed buff. After i buff they immeadietly holy path away, and its gone. Later in the run they realise it is gone and ask to buff again, and end up in the end telling me to level it up further so it lasts longer, not realising that I have demon, and that they keep getting rid of it with their own speed buffs.

    Would be nice to recieve its own stackable buff icon, like venos do with summersprint

    It works the other way around too.. Its annoying as hell if you just used HP or one of the run skills and an archer decides to buff x.x

    I do that just for spite on my ea.


    Honestly though wop evasion and speed should be a combined unique icon in stead of 2 seperate buff icons that get overwriten.

    Did I say Wings of Grace? I totally thought the party buff was called Wings of Grace last time I posted. Also, overriding HP with Wings of Protection is an archer's rite of passage into awesomeness.

    Agree archers have ****ty avasion butttt...u guys are still prutty op..you guys hit hardest for an la class you got to put everything into place first and figure out if its fair for archer to have a new buff..its a tough debate

    Wouldn't call it a new buff. More like a different buff icon, which would also, imo, be fair for archers nowadays.

    Ah yea okay sorry didnt read that part..i agree people mistake it alot and put a 20 sec buff on or w.e the buff is called that takes the archer buff out..yes they need to change that..but do they read fourms?...they havnt evenfix the loading screen yet where it says game complet...and people have addressed this in fourms quite alot...soon as it was noticed the next day

    I'd like an instant-cast buff that increases the radius of any ranged attack by 5 meters. Non-AoE attacks become AoE attacks.

    This buff would have a cooldown of about 5 seconds so that we can toggle it (like toggling stealth on/off with the same skill).


    Maybe it can be similar Metal Mage mode for Clerics, where we don't get access to certain skills during that mode.

    i played another game w/ a similar buff for auto attacks. its b:dirty . it should be a chance (~8-10%) to make them aoe otherwise archers will be too OP

    Go home non archers, you're on the wrong subforum! You're drunk!

    A lot of things need to be fixed imo as well as the close range reduced damage as an archer when almost every class now can either teleport to you or get to you in half of a sec.

    this actual seems like a pretty good idea. While toggled on you could suffer an aps penalty like sins get with cotd. but in turn you could aoe more.

    ya the buffs worthless i can never kill anyone other than other archer my level if they no have barb buff on because of that
