Hidden update with trials?

So do you need 100 hours in a faction now to enter trials? Find it kind of odd that people that just join a faction now can't get into trials when they are the proper level and have over 200 contribution. Can anyone confirm this?

Edit:

Just left faction on my sin and tried to get into trials. Had the right amount of contribution and it wouldn't let me in.

    Far as I know you can't TW for 100 hours after joining so not being able to do trials either doesn't surprise me.

    I guess this is to simply stop any players planning to ruin trials the moment they enter factions, same with TW via spies and whatnot.

    Needing 200 contri to enter trials is the same as anyone being able to enter because getting that contri takes all of 10-15 minutes tops with a level 1 hall of loyalty. Having the same requirement as to enter TW makes far more sense if they actually wanted a limit.

    that is nothing new- it is to stop people from faction hoping to do trials more than is allowed. Otherwise a faction full of people could migrate through multiple factions doing thier alotted amount of trials.

    I was not aware of this. Previously when i joined factions, i just did the daily bq and did trials that day. Waiting 100 hours for trials as well, seems icky.

    On that note, how do we find out how many hours we have been in a faction? or at least how many hours left until 100 hours are over?

    was wondering same exact thing. Since nw, i cant single a single benefit for anyone to do trials, unless people wanted some extra points towards base items, which does not justify doing trials.

    Although, i did find trials to be some of the most fun pve in the game now, because of team work required, instead of what everything else has degraded to being just spark 5.0 b:laugh

    It's possible to get rank9 mats (Medals of Glory) from hard-mode.

    My faction still does them for fun, too.

    Yeah, my faction decided to have a trials week once a month since a lot of members missed the fun plus we are able to get to the 2nd set of trials with better potential rewards etc. so it's not that bad but yeah, otherwise, there's no other reason to run them

    On topic; I find this change rather reasonable if you ask me though maybe the hours should have been reduced a little (trials aren't as important as TW is).

    Trials = aewsome exp gained, quick rep gain. I am not sure about the rest of you players, but i am aiming for -int on my shoes to go with -int on my chest for r8r bm. Since the r9 chest with -int was not our version, r8r is the 2nd best option. These few pieces of -int allows major improvement and hp gains for pve/pvp purposes. I can discard most of my lvl 11~12 gear, and move to lvl 15~16 gear.

    Without trials, getting the basic mats is hard and expensive with NW tokens. I can do 5~10 rolls per week, and it puts me back 8~20m each week. If i only had to make damascene ores with NW tokens, the cost will be much lower for me.

    Yes, amazingly enough.. People still do trials.. Whether its for the doing something together as a faction.. Or the game play.. Or maybe.. heres an idea.. They need the trials mats??? ooooo what a concept..lol.. there are actually people who either can't or don't do NW (job, school, sleep).. And some of the mats made with the tokens are not tradeable.. 14 tokens for 1 oricalcium ore and the catshops want 8-10 M for 1.. Yeah I'll do trials....

    Though I do think the 100hrs thing is pretty petty and ridiculous.. People dont faction hop for trials.. omfg..lol.. TW maybe.. but trials..? Cause you cant find a faction doing them...

    I could see how BEFORE NW having the 100 hour thing would be good... but I was in a faction that did 20+ trials a week... so people would want to do them right away. But now... doesn't make sense as we only do them for kicks and giggles.

    what doesnt make more sense is pple making a deal about a measly 100hrs >.> its not like they are telling you to labor 100rs or something.

    Well, today in trials we had some members being unable to enter. They had over 200 merit and have been in faction for weeks/months. What's up with that? O.o

    Did they charge 100 dollars b:avoid. Our faction puts trials on hold during 2x, so not sure.
