Rings:Physical or Magical

Should a seeker use rings with phys attk or mag attk and what kind of stats are you looking for? Also, Necklace and belt; should you use physical, elemental or evasion and again.. what kind of stats? Thanks everyone from a BM confused while making a seeker.

    Phys attack rings (damage is based on phys attack not magic), mag attack neck/belt (you wear heavy armor and are a seeker. Phys damage is not a major concern).

    The stats aren't as big a deal because in the end regardless you'd aim for the same things: R9 ring/sky cover/lunar gold ring/R8 ring, cube neck, and warsong belt/jungle belt/R9 belt.

    almsot agree fully with this but in the end you want a magic ring for more pdef even if it means losing 500pattack from not using a phys ring

    as for rings, I use cloud stir as it refines with mag resist

    the way i see gear, the purpose of it is to fill in the attack and defense stats we are lacking.

    Just because we are HA doesnt mean that we are not susceptible to less dmg. Its an illusion that tricks us >.> "i am HA hear me roar!"
    If i have low elemental resist its gonna make me squishy to magic attacks. Its no better than a cleric with 15000 HP, 20000 mag resist, and 4000k pdef. (high chance of being a 1shot to physical attack from R9s)

    I think you need o remove a k from that phys resist. :P


    Fair enough with the rings. Especially when you know you'll have to deal with arcanes. For most general scenarios, though, I tend to prefer phys rings for kill stuff faster and the annoying amount of phys classes since casters are a bit rarer (and competent ones even moreso).

    Thank you for the help....as for the incompetent casters...it's because they are all lvled in FC from mobs/heads rather than learning to play their toon the hard way....actually leveling and playing in groups.

    My seeker is currently lvl 75. Any particular ornaments that are great for this lvl ranging up to 80?

    sadly that thinking was present since 2008 b:surrender pdef or citrine shard threads where the boom back then.

    - the Adventure quest ornaments
    - attendance rings
    - check auction for 2-3star ornaments, some actually have real good stats
    - Misty Forest Ring lv77 mold
    - Pirate King's Seal lv77 mold
    - Equine Talisman lv69 mold
    - TT80 ornaments will be a big boost but only at 80 start =/

    Until you become engrossed in pvp or TW, I would recommend using physical rings to increase your damage, and refining them a bit to increase your physical defense even if it's just a little bit... adds to vitality are always the best choice to me, with strength / hp / phys or magic defense coming after it in that order.

    As for endgame... I would say in PvP as a seeker, you should ALWAYS have a full set of refined magic ornaments with adds of vit or hp or more magic defence... channeling is optional I guess, if you want it... but our cooldowns are quite long so I don't see a point having it. If you can afford them, then Cloud Stir and a lvl 14/15/16 elemental cube necklace and warsong belt are wonderful endgame pieces. Sign of the Frost - Chaos kind of a compromise since it has an add for magic defense, while being a phys ring with accuracy and crit, the other ring is Seal of Eternal Solitude, a magic ring with Dex and Vit and +3% crit adds, giving +100 phys AND magic attack, and refining for magic resist :)

    if you have money to waste, and you find yourself wishing to also have a ring for doing maximum damage, then you could toss money at a sky cover as well, but I would say that having a ring with good magic defense should be a higher priority...

    Go full vit stone. That should boost your mdef enough. Not like you need any more def levels.

    I would have to disagree with you oontz xD
    If you can bring your magic defence to 8k, 9k or 10k unbuffed, (which is insane, I know)
    then def level stones are the way to go imo :P

    i THINK... +10 as a start should be fine.

    when i got the original R9 back in the days, it was full 22-24JOSD build and guess what xD my refines were +7 lol. (been running around with this for a good year or two) This autumn i got off my lazy cheap backside and finally +11-12 it, and then R99. But compared then and now, the diff. is there but its not as big as day and night.

    +10 is what I am working toward right now, and while I have to agree that it is good to have a decent HP pool, it also simply means you can take more and will really be more expensive, instead better defences not only allow you to tank hits, but also not add to the already expensive charm ticks that come with high refine armor.
