Hello! Im a newbish lvl53 archer in Heavens Tear.
Id like to make a new toon....kinda like an alt. I want a more AOE-based class because Ive never played as one and it seems like alot of fun (preferably melee and not squishy). I was wondering which one is the best for lower lvls (between 30 and 60 lets say). I know that BM's have the most AOE spells but they need different weapons for them, Barbs seem nice and wanted...I've never tried a seeker so Im not sure if they are squishy or not. Please leave your opinion for which is the best low lvl AOE class. Thanks in advanceb:thanks

Barbarians don't really have the skill-set needed to AoE grind effectively at lower levels. At higher levels it's probably possible, but still kind of ''meh''.
Blademasters have a continuous AoEing cycle when they use axes/hammers (no need to switch weapons) and an AoE stun which also helps a lot in mitigating damage.
Seekers also have plenty of AoE attacks including a channeled AoE. It uses ranged skills for the most part so it's not that different from a caster except for looks (though they have much better survivability).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
seeker, without a doubt.
By lvl50 you have 4 aoes, 2 of them ranged. At 59 you get one of the most powerful aoes in the game0 -
Im considering to go with a Blademaster since I think he's less squishy than a Seeker. Any final opinions?0

It depends. If you choose axe/fists BM build since beginning (what is usual to get chi faster and HF more often), he'll be squishier than seekers.
But if u choose axe build, the BM might be as resistant as the seeker.
*Based on what I see in my instances as a wizard (I never lvled up seeker above 2x).0 -

Less squishy, yes, but this is only a factor in boss fights.
Fighting normal mobs of about the same level, a seeker kills them in 4 aoe attacks. Unless you really mess up, the mobs won't kill you.0 -
