Trying to analyze the difference between R8r and Nirvana gear for seekers makes my head hurt. I made pwcalc pages with both builds but the bookmarks I saved go to empty pages now, I don't know what happened. But even when the links were working I couldn't decide. So you experts, which is better, R8r or vanilla TT derived Nirvana? And what is the relative cost of both?

I also wonder if Nirvana has a better future upgrade path. In a sense you can keep upgrading R8r by rerolling for better stats. But Nirvana seems like you can keep going and going with the new stages they keep adding.

TT Nirvana is garbage. Only reason to do it is cheap g16. Only reason to get anything r8r is if your a caster for purify spell, looking for interval armors, or a barb trying to stack easy hp without going r9.

    ☆☆Radiant Eye Sword: Eon
    Physical attack 900-1371 (1135.5)

    ☆Infinite Longing
    Physical attack 1311-1774 (1542.5)

In terms of average damage (PvE) G16 Nirvana wins, hands down.
For spike damage (PvP), R8R with GoF would be a fair bit better.

why do people keep mixing infinite longing as the dual blades, astrla ballad is dual blades. infinite is dual swords

anyway, g16 nirvy > r8r with gof for me.
-g16 has 40 atk lvl automatically
-it is dual blades so its average damage is alrdy better then single sword
    -g16 refine better

though, it come down to a personal choice imo, its between, do you want constant higher damage or the ability to 1 time outta 5 hit really hard (but i wonder to what point is the difference because of the atk lvl on g16)

40 attack levels and higher base damage vs. GoF.

    G16 Nirvana dual blades/swords +0 are about equal to R8R +8.

G16 Nirvana gives better resistance stats than r9 3rd cast set
But R9 3rd Cast gives more dmg to Hits
