knockback in instances?

I tried to knock back a mob in BH39 yesterday - none of the skills would knock back.

Is this true of all instances? I thought knockback only didn't work in PVP

Some mobs (and a lot of bosses) are indeed immune to knockback.

But no, not all instance mobs are immune to it.

As a general rule of thumbs, melee mobs in most instance are immune to slow and knockback, archer and caster/hybrid aren't. Freeze, stun and seal work on all. This mostly apply for FB instance, rest of the instance can have their own immunity rule.

And everything works on both bosses and mobs in fb 19. XD

    That seems backwards.

An archer who pulls aggro from an exploding mob is pretty much mashed potato then.

    Exactly
    So don't pull aggro

Seems I pull aggro if I attack anything - not enough barbs around.

So take out the yellow dodonixes (the red ones in Calcid's room are pure melee) and give whoever's tanking the reverexes and red dodos time to cement aggro before attacking, or be designated tank so you get heals (Farren and Calcid can both be range tanked and their range attacks hit weaker than their melee attacks, though I prefer a melee tank for Farren if you have any heavies in the group... range tanked he uses his AOEs constantly.)

What, you mean I have to learn how to play the game? That's just unreasonable!

    ;)

    Thanks for the advice
