Manual Update Speed...

Okay, so I downloaded the manual update because I figured that would be faster. Took about an hour to download (DSL FTL). Now, generally, in my experience, installing something is much faster than downloading because your CPU processing speed is generally faster than your internet speed. For some reason when I follow the instructions on manually updating with all the files already downloaded, it's taking LONGER to install the files than it was to download them. What gives? Is this normal? I mean, installing PWI by itself with all it's files took a fraction of the time to this.

Not trying to troll or complain, just want to understand whether or not I'm doing something wrong.

    Its taking up more time then expected becoz of this expansion is huge file (1.1GB).

    Still here, and still waiting for it to finish installing. My GF started an hour after me on the same connection and used the auto patcher instead of downloading and installing the patch manually. She has just managed to log into the game and I am still "installing".

    On the updates page, the PWI staff recommend that you download the patch manually, and install it manually, because it's supposedly faster.

    According to what's going on, my GF doing the so called less efficient way, an hour behind me, and finishing faster than myself doing the so called efficient way. I'm a tad annoyed.

    P.S. This will make hour 6 of my attempt to manually download and install the patch, as per the recommendations by the PWI staff.

    i download manualy and i hold off for about 2 hours and than it done than saying corrupt fail whats up with that and i use patch hold off for like 6 hours befor this one nohing wtf is up the old one work a ok for me know this nope so i hare ya what u saying i don't know it me or what others to got a corrupt fail so what up use the manual one help thx hottie ;p.

    Anyone who is getting patch file error is becoz of there anti-virus/firewall which gives a false positive about the patch file and mess up with it . So disable you anti-virus or firewall or etc while updating , installing,downloading the game.
