Awaken CD replace Cloud eruption on genie?

So with the CD on Awaken down to 5mins........is it time archers get rid of Cloud Eruption? gimme opinions, cos im considering it xD

    5 mins is a long time (compared to the assassin comparable skills). Why not have both?

    No. Unless you almost never use chi and find yourself with high amounts of chi almost all the time, having both is much more beneficial than simply relying on one or the other.

    It's just more of a convenience now that the cooldown has decreased like so. But unless a chi-gaining skill is as fast as Cloud Eruption, it's better to have both. For example, sins don't need CE because every minute we have an instant-casting skill that gives 2 sparks.

    Personally i've always prefered Chi Siphon compared to Cloud eruption.

    It means i can get the most out of my genie in terms of stating with high dex.
    Chi siphon gives you more sparks and in PK and TW i'd rather use other genie skills than something that gives me chi and takes away the majority of my energy and use awaken instead.
    Chi Siphon gives me a little under 2.5 sparks and can be used on anything you can tab target. This means in TW i can use it on the wood dummies towers and enemy binding posts (which are now unkillable i believe which is a nice little bonus because by the time i buff up and run out of the base i can have 3 sparks since im sage. I rarely have chi problems at all now with chi siphon perhaps also contributed to by the fact that i'm sage and we get a few nice chi boosting skills.

    All in all i find chi siphon to be more efficient than cloud eruption and i'd definitely recommend having some sort of chi genie skill whether its one or the other. It doesnt make sense to have both but i guess it depends on how you like to stat your genie and how you like to play.
    I personally just prefer going into a combat situation with enough chi for me not to worry about it, rather than have to waste a genie skill to get chi when i could be using it more defensively to AD or expel or badge of courage or whatever. But like i said - thats all based on my playing style and i like having a genie that keeps me alive in combat.

    I think the best option is for you to just experiment for yourself and make a decision on your own.

    I personally never really used Cloud Eruption. White Tea was good enough for emergencies on respawn in TW. And this new NW mode spawns you in with 1 1/2 sparks (+Master Li = 2) and chi gaining isn't that problematic with Awaken always up ones sleeve.

    I personally wouldn't get it unless I had an 8x LP genie and could fit it on another slot, other skills are just too valuable to give up.
