So just my thoughts, but am I the only one that thinks Carebears get too much hate? Being one myself, I've been sent nasty messages and open chat hate because I prefer to help people instead of ganking everything that moves. b:surrender
And people have called me "noob" because :

depends on the carebear.. if the carebear is annoying i'd hate them too, but if the carebear is a decent person, i'd want to be their friend.

To be honest not everyone like PvP and I think it's why there's PvE server, if someone on a PvE server is call a Care bear than just tell them they should have go on HL and LC if they wanted a real PvP. I love PvP, but I have my moments more Care bear, I don't really care what people think about me, I do what I enjoy.

Thank you, but isn't arch server a PVE server? It does not make sense to call someone a care bear on a pve server b:worried. I understand if on a PVP server, and someone does not like killing other people, that is fine, call them a carebear b:dirty (the joys of carebare cartoon from the yesteryears).

PK is soooOOOooOOOOoooooooOOOooooOOooooooOOooOoOoOooooooooo unbalanced in this game its pityful due to the heavy csing..imo,just like the TW's,Pvp prob better on a pvp server but on a PvE server to me its kinda stupid to have to have a certain area to pk in,or annouce "pk at west arch come join us"..how dumb is that.This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

Wow this is one thing sanct is tamed with. I've never been dissed for not wanting to PvP, and no one has, in public at least, voiced complaints about being ragged for being PVE only.
nothing wrong with helping people, it feels good to do it.
And PK is stressful and seriously unbalanced, I don't know how the PvPers put up with it but whatever is fun for them I guess.0 -

I love doing this on my cleric, but I havent had any trouble so far. I always say thank you to clerics who randomly buff me

I actually got some shtick for not abusing the goons glitch. I knew it was wrong to cheat, so I didn't do it. In those 'Days of Goon' as I called em, I was rejected from every single squad because I didn't want to Goon; and the squads I did manage, nobody knew how to play their class. I tried to lead them but they screamed "Dont tell me how to play!" b:surrender
This is my original character. I began playing her in 2009, and I have finished every single damn quest I can do in my limit. I'm proud of doing my questing, as it is the place to learn how to play your class b:kiss - I don't use the cash shop
I only use the CS for mana charms, fash, and if I need a new flyer. I do get told off for not being mainstream and buying all my rank gear b:tired I dont exactly live off the bank of dad, and I'd rather farm for my gear. - And I don't have +12 refined gear
Eeyup. I've been rejected from a few BH's for this because most of my gear is abotu or under +3

THIS. It's pretentious to the extreme for anyone on a PvE server to label others as carebears. I do disagree with Jaabg on wether there's any grounds for calling a PvE oriented player in a PvP server a carebear, as in principle they're at least ready to defend themselves at any moment, even if they don't actively PK. Call me old school but I'll stick to the basic principle that EVERYONE on a PvE server is a carebear, even if they've been white/red named for years; It's a very different proposition to level/gear for endgame with the option of avoiding PvP. Having said this, there's always been some players in PvP servers who believe they have some sort of claim to leetness for the mere fact of their server choice alone. There's as many noobs in any type of server and P2Win could arguably be said to play a much bigger role in the "success" of many PvPers... It is in fact the sole rational reason (other than perhaps the challenge itself or being an obsessive completionist) to go for endgame choices such as R9r. Yes and no. Arguably PK mode on PvE servers does tend to attract much of the community's bottom of the barrel scum, but in general the much lower tactical accumen of most regulars (which rely heavily on ganking or who congratulate each other for extremely long fights; true PvP requires the ability for you to deliver a coup de grace in under 10 secs) does open far more opportunities for fun, engaging game play for those prepared, even if undergeared.

Not many liked too PK here, even in the past before it became so inbalanced through CS'ing; so you shouldn't let that part of it get to you...
As for the healing & buffing others bit ~ thats a good thing, lots of us do it with both our clerics & mystics (even while PK'ing) I don't mind having my pk chari's getting dropped when the ones who do it to them then rez & buff them afterwards and then head off too hunt others so you can go back to either questing or hunting yourself) so if people are harassing you over that, then just write down there names on a blacklist and then never help heal them or buff them, should you ever run across them on the game (let them learn what they're mouths can really cause them) Its worked for lots of us in the past too shut'em up.....LOLOL b:dirty
Thank God, on the (No Power level) bit ~ it seems like theres less & less of anyone who wants to truely play the game anymore where the FC fail Babies got too buy their ways too (no-punishments) where the rest of us got shafted by {PWEs} gutless reaction too they're mass violations of the {ToS} rules... So I'm proud to see a newer player whos doing the old school methods for leveling in the game (because your a rarity in game now a days, aswell as a relief too the rest of us who are (old schoolers) in the game, since you'll actually know how too play your characters & use their skills properly....b:chuckle
Theres nothing really wrong with CSing so long as you don't try too instantly buy your way too end game supremacy before learning all the things you can about how too play the game properly (Its only when people who don't gotta clue about anything end up buying their way too supremacy that the rest of the CSrs truly end up with bad reputations)

But as for your question about carebear hate & all, the only time I've had hate issues on carebears is on the PK servers, and is when you single drop them on the fields (no repeat grief kills or (no chance to win) low lv dropping) and then they constantly whine and complain & even threaten too file a ticket on you (that you ruined the world by only dropping them once) so they cry like little babies who just watched their puppies get microwaved (those carebears are the ones that I don't like since they should leave the PvPs & play only on the PvE servers, but still stick on the PvPs).... But that problems the one that the chats blacklist option is best for fixing...0 -

I see this in badminton at times b:chuckle. Sometimes you see a guy/girl walk in, all decked out in yonex shirt/short/skirt, shoes, wrist band, bag, racquets. They often have the top of the range racquet to boot. Looking cool and pro, with the air that they are awesome players. When they get on the court, their equipment cries tears of blood. Equipment does help, but no skill is still no skill in the game, the equipment won't help one get it, but might motivate one to learn if they get over the frustration of losing.
MANray_ - I agree, i was just trying to think how someone on the other side might see it. Very confusing let me tell you. Personally i am all for equipping npc gear lvl 50 on people, along with that weapon, and have people go nuts in pvp. Casters will naturally have the edge here, but all the more fun. Once gear is equalized, it comes down to skill, genie, apoc and how well a person can click.0 -
One point comes to mind as it bewilders me why people don't like buffs. I only buff people when they are killing mobs. I think one reason could be they are dueling when u buffed one of them, maybe?

The last time I pvped I was in my 80's and genie's just came out it was a TW. Today unless you have r9 +10-12 and the best gear it's kinda pointless depending on your class.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't like it when clerics buff me with hp/mp regen when I already have one on. Often times i use apoc items that give 50~100 mp/hp regen while farming. Other buffs are welcome, but overwriting my apoc buff makes me sad b:sad. All other class buffs are welcome. 0 -

I'd be friends with you whether you were a carebear or not, I really don't like PK either, and I know some people don't like to power level at all. I've honestly never heard of the term carebear on my server ever.0 -
If you are lower than level 90 and someone call you a Carebear the person is just stupid.
