Would this be a bad change?

I'm just kinda curious about an idea that's been rolling through my head.
Most of the people I talk to at any point in time, say you pretty much make no coin until your level 100+
As a player that lacks a level 100, I find this a little bit irksome. I realize this game is fairly cash-shop based, but I find the lack of ability to really get a reliable source of coin, as a class that isn't really good at farming (I.E. I'm a cleric who's mainly focused on my own healing spells over offensive spells, because I'm a cleric.. it's my job to heal and support any squad I'm in more then be a offensive caster).
The idea I've been mulling over is to add a small coin reward to the bounty hunts at lower levels, from what I'm told, the high level bounty hunts have a chance to give you money (I'm not sure if it outright gives you money, or if it's just the cards people randomly link in World chat). But all the lower level bounty hunts simply just give Exp and Spirit, while this is nice, I was curious if it would really be THAT bad to add a small coin reward on the quests. I'm not saying to scale it the same as the Bounty Hunts, but maybes a small one?
Like say
2,000 coins per quest for BH29
3,500 coins per quest for BH39
5,000 coins per quest for BH51
7,500 coins per quest for BH59
Ect.. (Cause I haven't gotten past this point and don't know whats past it x-x;)
While a fair amount of nice high level players might help with the lower level bounty hunts, in the random times I do get a mostly level-appropriate squad for a BH, I have to use both mana potions, and possibly lose durability here and there from randomly being smacked, or just simply from using spells, so, I'm actually spending money to BH (You get a small amount back, but I dunno if it breaks even.
Just a random thought, and I was curious how the more seasoned players of this game would view this idea? I'm not asking for much really I don't think...b:shutupb:surrender

Its this easy. <<Thats a thread someone made where they did every quest and picked up their drops and by level 60 had 6.2m coin just from quests and no additional farming.
There are also other markets available, like herb/mat gathering, merchanting, or farming low level TTs. Granted a level 100+ Sin can probably do a 1-3 faster than a squad of level 60-80s and keep the entire split for himself, still, there is money to be made there.
Also, what makes 100+ so profitable is usually the gear. People start having highly refine weapons and higher aps. So while they're making more money it took a considerable investment in their gear to get to that point. ie, an aps set should run you between 300m and 700m.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. So, I need to roll a Venomancer apparently, and collect every herb/mat I can run into and hope to find someone who will actually buy them.
Beyond that, I suppose I could do material gathering, I've done a fair amount of my own quests, I'm not really behind on that. Merchanting is one of those things where you typically have to have money to begin with to do well in.
As for Twilight Temple, I've never really honestly been there before, and I really don't know the requirements for any of it. You have to remember, this is a healing cleric, I don't do well grinding, and the last training spell I went through was to buy three spells that cost me about a Million coins on it's own, not counting the spirit/coin I'd need to max out my offensive spells too (Still dreading that).
I could totally make a new character simply for grinding, but I'd also have to pay for that characters spells and such as well, and it's not getting my high level closer to the higher levels, I'm not saying "Give me coins niow!" Just a small little bonus on something that's meant to be done daily would be nice b:shutup
b:sad
Edit: Also, I am making coin, slowly I am making coin, but it's still disheartening everytime I train my coins bottom out again >_<0 -

This game has many avenues to generate coin, but they require *le gasp* effort and time. There are many topics on how to get started on this.0 -
It's not a bad idea in principle, the rewards you propose are certainly reasonable to the point of being negligible, although I'm pretty sure plenty of the 1mil/hour income crowd would object to more coin being dumped into the game... What in my opinion could really use some revamping is income sources at lower levels (the extra coin from quest rewards doesn't quite make up for DQ nerfs) and more efficient coin sinks at the endgame range. Keep in mind however that we are at the mercy of developers in China trying to keep up with the way the economy evolves THERE.
Now as a Cleric your best option for income is likely instance farming, with TT being the beter option at your level range. You do have the advantage of having an easier time than most forming/making it into squads and, while it does get old, its a much more entertaining way than other forms of farming/grinding resources. A single run a week should certainly make you better income than the reward system you're proposing, and you'll also be getting mats you'll need for gearing your character. Also, keep in mind you've already gone through much of the worse in terms of leveling and that you're at a level in which you may start enjoying much of the advantages of playing your class, just stick around the bh platform for a while and you'll likely find plenty of squads desperate for clerics. After level 75, once herb yuanxiao becomes available to you, you'll also find a good cost effective solution for dealing with mp management.
Finally, a healing cleric is what the overwhelming majority of people in this game want. Try advertising yourself as "full attack" and you should certainly notice a difference.0 -

I took this as casual farming, not farming for profit. He didn't go out of his way to farm them, just farmed them if he walked over them like they were drops.
Another thing I forgot to mention is BH100 rewards are somewhat blamed for the problems in the pwi economy. The cards add alot of coin to the game and cause inflation of gold and inflate the value of gear. I remember larger coin drops, larger dq values, and 20m Love: Up and Downs but thanks to inflation (and botting) PWI has reduce coin drops, DQ sell value, and the price of items has vastly expanded in 4 years.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Just giving my 2 cents in this...
First, i like your idea, its easy to implement, although i don't know if the dudes in china would let that happen.
Second, ways of making money in the game are sought by many. Myself, i was a very bad example of money-making, mostly because i sucked figuring out some of the game mechanics. Even so, i adjusted my game-play steadily (with a lot of help of course), so i could develop any income. i was not asking much, just enough to be self-sustainable .
Today i might say i have reached that point. It was in a obvious way (to others ,not to me) an introduction to the merchant play-style. Grind first until you have some starting capital . Anything between 100k-1000k should work. Then time to buy low , sell high. Rinse and repeat until you have 4 millions-6 millions. And repeat. This time with some things from the Boutique,
like Rep Badges or Mysterious Chips. When you hit 80 millions this way, Then you can start figuring out some things by yourself, but the basics remain.
Sorry if this seems very lacking in the informative way, but i want to sleep very badly, so i have no choice.
Hope this may be of help.
Oh and by the way, when i was starting this play-style, i was level 41. today i am level 82
so maybe you shouldn't take any advice from me b:surrender
PD: Try to find a copy of the guides that warrenwolfy made. They were very helpful to me and many, many others
Good nightb :bye0 -

It's funny that they reduced low DQ at 1 coin while when i see people bott/boot (sorry not sure about the spell), it's rare i admit, but when i see it they do mobs around GBQ which drop high DQ that still give a lot of money.
But the big ''change'' is now a new char get a lot of stuff we didn't get when we started the game:
-Set of 4 pieces of gears and a belt giving bonus (great gears)
-The blessing (we didn't had that when we started)
-Charms (No idea why or how that work, but there's a npc giving charms everyday on the new char i made)
-Supply Stash give now a lot of great pots
-ornaments giving +1% exp each (one give 1 def lvl and the other 1 attack lvl)
-etc..
So now new people don't need to buy gears since the start, they get free great gears without even quest, if they quest they get a lot of others gears/weap/ornament, so new chars can lvl really fast without power lvl without bother to get coins for pots/gears/stuff and once they are at a decent lvl they can farm something to get money. (with the lucidsilver/gold guy lvl up is a joke)
I made a new char on a new server for fun and in less than 2 days I'm lvl 23 almost 24, have around 75k (al usefull skills maxed or just don't have spirit for the other), fully geared, didn't use a single pot since i started cause of the charms the npc give every day (or it's maybe every 5-10 lvl i dunno, but every day he have charms xD), so with charm not even one time i needed to meditate to get back hp/mp (thing we was doing when we started the game and didn't had money for pots).
The new players theses days are really lucky and don't even know it. All they have to do it's to lvl up, They don't need to farm anything before lvl 50-60 for sure.
People just need to find way to save their money for eventually start to merch.
On my new char i do like the other guy said, i don't teleport, i fly/walk (thx to multi client allowed while i fly i do other stuff on my other account)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Why do quests? Well simply to enjoy the game maybe? And learn how to play the class, learn the game and the stuff. It's a game i don't understand that people see it as a job or w/e and absolutely want to be 105 and rich. The fun is to lvl and quest. Majority of people getting R9+12 end game gears get bored and stop to play cause they have nothing to do anymore and they just show TW. While ''poor'' people still play, farm and have good time with friends.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

really???? quests in pwi are boring/grinding/dull affairs! kill 50 of this 100 or that- over and over again. Doing culti quests are enough. At least BH's you play with other ppl and can chat have some fun. Go to any questing area THEY R DEAD0
-
I did a new toon on a new server where i know no one and yesterday while questing i meet a other low lvl like me so we did quests together, we chatted and had fun.
I just think that people have a bad attitude and think it's impossible to quest with other people and have fun. Kill 50 mobs outside a cave or 50 mobs to reach a boss in a cave, there's not a lot of difference, the only difference it's how you see it. I personally miss quest outside and see the nature, be in the same cave every day is boring, there's no change, it's constantly the same caves. when you quest you go everywhere on the map and see new places.
The majority of people high lvl i know miss the old time of questing outside with other people.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

To OP: When i was 60, i had accumulated about 12m, i spent it all on reset, flyer and a few gear pieces that were essential for me. I started the routine again and got that much by lvl 80. The link Sakubatou provides, it is not for a veno class only, that is what that player chose. I did that on my bm. Any class can do it. Problem at lower lvls is that people waste lots of coins on useless things. If you take stock of your expenses and make sure your income is greater than the expense that day, those savings will add up.0 -
I'm not opposed to the idea but :Xx_BeLLa_xX - Harshlands wrote: »But the big ''change'' is now a new char get a lot of stuff we didn't get when we started the game:

For the same reason, I think it's a bit unnecessary. I don't see coins being an issue till 90 at least. There is free stuff at the very start, then you can find very good gear for cheap in AH (3* gear doesn't cost much anymore). By the time gear gets a little price ticket, there are some quest chains with amazing rewards. You get free flyers (timed, but still free) that last quite a while if you add all durations. Considering any lvl20+ can make 300k+ per hour on just herb farming, even TT90 isn't that expensive. Ofc, that is considering someone lvling on bh, squad fcc, quests and reflecting (and not orders of blessing and bought exp rooms).
The main problem I see is that at lvl100, squads suddenly expect you to have +5 armor with immac of r8 quality at least with a +10 r8/nirvana or better weapon.
All that togather makes it look for someone pre-100 that coins drop from the sky at 100+, while for a lvl100+ it looks like a tiny reward compared to the gear others expect him to have.0 -
I leveled an alt, currently level 38. Since level 20 I have been getting 20k minimum per day, and 70k approximately every two to three days, by doing saving summer quests.
Do ur quests!!b:chuckle0 -
I forget the breakdown but skills cost a lot of coin and are a huge investment for that level range, especially when you're not questing. The only reason someone wouldn't need income until 90+ is they are just rushing through the levels by buying FC but that's no way to do things. And honestly if you do it that way you'll probably be one of those leech players with **** gear that isn't even reasonable for your level. I'm not talking about average gears, I'm talking about people who can't even survive the aoe but expect people to hold bosses for them.
@OP
I suggest that you start out farming mats until you a got a little bit of income. A couple of mil. From there merch those mats. Buy them from other players who are willing to sell them to you for cheap and then resell them at a higher value. Simplest way of making money at that level range really.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Also, not everyone and their mom can, or should, merchant. Someone here mentioned Warrenwolfy's guide, didn't he regret writing that in the end? The problem is this is not a self regulating market, and there is no oversight, in general terms you have no perishable goods and run no risks you'll be stuck with inventory no one wants after a bussiness cycle. Also you have no warehousing costs. What this means is there is a strong incentive for anti-competitive practices such as price fixing, which are widespread to alarming degrees. This has created an environment in which even friends and guildies are now pressuring you into hard sales. Take a good look at cat shops, at least a good HALF of them hold at least one item at a ridiculous overprice, and the people paying for this are those that can least afford it, and which this game desperately needs is order to survive, the new and unexperienced.
We complain a lot about some of the bad choices the company's made but apparently fail to realize that WE, as a community, are largely responsable for the current state of the game. It's far more cost effective nowadays to simply set up shop and buy/sell, than it is to actually engage in any sort of productive activity. Take gold mats, at current market prices you could actually just make them for coin and chips in my server and actually turn a good profit at the prices people are buying/selling. The cheapest you can get for some, if not most, is at cost, which is simply a ridiculous expectation. I have a friend, honest merchant, that frequently gets threats and angry messages because he undercuts prices, which is a legitimate bussiness practice, and have had people call me a lot of ugly stuff when I try to buy things at a FAIR price, which is usually a lot less than they're expecting to get. The problem is the market is distorted because of so much speculation, with armies of players in the "buy low/sell high" zombie mentality those of us who are actually buying stuff to *gasp* USE, are getting hurt badly. But we wouldn't want to get in the way in the way of someone with a couple of R9r chars getting MOAR, would we?
If I wanted to "play markets" I could just download a stock market simulator and actually get some useful irl skills doing it. Or I could play a fantasy footy league and actually have more fun in a competitive environment. But no, I chose to actually play a fantasy/adventure game without realizing GREED was seriously going to get in the way of the resource management aspect, and you guys are posting as if getting another lemming into merchanting was actually a good thing for the community. AND FYI, i never go catshop, so this isn't self serving...
Edit; Oh, and I did forget to mention one important thing, whatever delussions you may hold on this matter, this actually is pretty close to a zero sum game. MOST merchants don't actually turn a real profit, they're just ameriolating heavy zen/time investments at best. For some reason catshops are the one thing most people refuse to analize in terms of cost effectiveness in this game...0 -

The time investment doesn't really count as much if the person wouldn't actually be spending their merchanting time playing.
When school is in session, I don't really have a lot of time to play games, but I sure can easily set up shop and check it/adjust prices a couple times a day. I don't really consider the time spent merchanting as a "time investment", since I would have otherwise just not been logged in at all. And then when I do get to play, I can just play for fun without having to worry about money.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

BH gives too much of rewards already, free legendary weapons, free potions, runecrafting, high exp reward, fairy box keys for opening fairy boxes. What else do you want? Besidses, the coin reward is easy to get for level 10 people from that BH reward btw, I was expecting a higher amount you ask for... LolI, II and III spark is the most cheesiest skill in PWI and it should be removed or massively nerfed.

The problem is that some people actually, out of greed, stop playing just to "merch" more.
There are people who want r9 without spending money and would QQ when they're trying to sell an item if it doesn't make them enough profit.
There are also people who fill the heads of kids with impossible ideals.
I've had one friend who complained that he doesn't have teles to get more people for bh delta.
I kindly reminded him that HE sells teles.
He kindly reminded me that those teles are for profit, not for use.
There are people who aren't mature enough to deal with it.
Eventually these guys will stop doing anything that could upset their coin earned/hour rates. b:embarrass*I never thought Perfect world was beautiful... till I discovered that my graphics' quality settings were on low*0 -
uh lol I have never had a problem on my cleric grinding mobs for mass profit ...
step 1. find a group of poison mobs
step 2. make sure you have full chi (important)
step 3. enter flying mode
step 4. fly so they chase you
step 5. make sure you heal with ironheart and purify the stacked poison
step 6. when you see the damage taken hitting 1/2 your clerics total hp stop pulling more mobs
step 7. group mobs up and keep self ironhearted and purified (usually a quick circle around one side of them does the trick)
step 8. Drop fly ironhearth and purify then Razor feather, then right after purify, then ih more purify again tempest, purify ih ih purify, razor feather, and well just keep purifying before and after every attack and then ih after any attack really.
during 2x drops that's a potential gain of anywhere from 10-80 mil a day depending on what mobs you kill.
and the most amazing part is the most coin you can make off mobs is not the high level ones lmao.
its the lvl 20+ mobs rough fur, purified oil, glue, and silk thread.
catshops in heaven tear buy those for 18,000 each and sell em for 24-30,000 each...
thats the mats the level 100+ start buying after they power level up to 100 and go **** I got to level up my crafting to make my aps gears now b:laughb:victory
so the profit from grinding mobs is still at the lower end (even though the dq is nerfed for that lvl range, but that dont make a dent in what you make in mats or if you cat shop the dq you get. cause they only nerfed npc value not catshop one)
everything you get as drop (minus gems gears jades) worth big bucks if you sell em over night in a cat.
and you make more then someone with 8 lvl 100s trying bh 100's b:shutup0 -
There's always stuff to farm at every lvl, people are just hurry to lvl up.
-purified oil
-rough fur
-hay
-etc
It's mats easy to farm at low lvl and people buy them at expensive price, but people are so hurry to lvl up that they don't farm at all and become at lvl 60-70 with less money than my cleric lvl 33 and they QQ they are broke and want BH to give them money.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

OH and another thing is when grinding with a low level 30 toon to obtain low level mats purified oil ext.
level genies to lvl 30 chage trade state make another with 2 mirage 30k tops in heaven tear server, feed next one exp turn em into exp for other genies and sell those too.
or you could just sell em as genies too lol ;P
good coin just off those cause at level 100 people feeding genie with spirit well they run out of spirit and its harder for em to get more spirit unlike lower levels lol b:chuckle
thats why I piriodically paused leveling to max my skills out and feed genie exp so I did not have the problem of "my heals maxed and so are attacks, problem solved0 -

No please no. If they do that people will make a account of chars lvl 40 and run bh29 everyday (3 bh a charx8 chars = 24 BHs) with multi client with a char 100.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
