What does the CM actually do day-to-day ;o

Anyone else wondered about this? I swear the CM has always just been a paid forum moderator. Do CMs even go to the PWI office or do they work from home. Do they work 9-5 or are they part time ;o

They're busy being productive of course.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Remember: OP may be a duck|OP/GMs/Devs may not deliver|Search function is your friend|Lurk more|Be wary of Mods: they can't be trusted|This place isn't a hugbox|Your tears sustain me|Know what Bait is|"Soon" may never come|Postcount, Dubs, and other GETs are important|Don't revive long dead threads|There is a section for everything|You can be banned for anything|No Fun Allowed outside of OT|Sweetiebot rules OT|"Circlejerks" are inevitable|Threads can be derailed and saved|Those who use"XD" should off themselves at their earliest convenience|0

They have to go in to the office. It's more so their activity on the forums can be monitored, but also so that any breaking information is just an arms-length away. Long-distance contact can be missed (or ignored)... not so easy to miss someone sticking their head into your cubicle and telling you what's up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

They aren't technically GMs, but they have the abilities of GMs. We really see very few of the GMs that are actually active in the games.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

We did the same. We would also occasionally take cups from the water cooler, balance them on the top of the cubicle across from us, and take turns seeing who can shoot them down.Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

I also, thankfully, no longer work in an office. I feel bad for the poor souls that spend their life doing that. Miserable. b:spitProving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

The job of a CM is:
1.To make the game present in different medias ( facebook, game's webpage and foruns, etc ).
2.To create space where players can voice their opinions, socialize, share gaming experiences.
3.To plan and implement tools that will be connected to the game. See: Core Connect and facebook connection.
4.Gather feedback from the player base. This feedback will be, obviously, spread out in different medias. Even the ticket system should be scanned.
5.To interpret [ maybe this is not the word I'm searching ] said feedback.
"QQ this class is OP, nerf nao!" should be ignored while "This class is OP because of this, this and that skill; look at the durations and cooldowns. Yes, my counters are [ insert list ], but now compare those durations, cooldowns and even sparks consumption." should be considered.
There is even QQ registered in form of well-thought and well-written posts, a good CM should not be fooled by such posts.
6.To forward community's feedback to the devs.
7.To forward suggestions to the devs.
8.To concretize solutions and/or improvements to the game. See: DQ rewards.
9.To foresee problems and act preventively. See: this.
10.To censor content exposed on game-related medias.
11.To protect the image of both the company and the game.
We can flame eachoter for oh so many pages and nothing happens, "mouthing out at staff"
would surely result in a forum ban.
Post 100% based on assumptions.
