So when I start the game and type my nick and pass and click login on the Sanctuary Server, it just takes 20 seconds and then says I'm unable to reach server, while I DO have internet... And when I check the server status of Sanctuary and it says online, but when I click Servers in that login page, and check the servers, Ping, Population and Event Info are all left completely blank... anyone got an idea on what to do yet? I already tried restart internet, laptop....I could play fine yesterday still O.o
Cant post screenie it seems, atleast not from C. PWE. PWI. Element. screenshots.

From a quick search of the forum.....
Somewhere between you and the server the packets are getting dropped. It could just be a bad route.

Usually you can remedy something like this by rebooting your modem/router and your PC. (Unplug both for at least 2 minutes.)

Also, it could be caused by traffic on your local network, or interference if you're using wireless. A lot of people don't realize how many points of failure there are for their signal between their PC and the server.

Which is why I am constantly posting this...
People are starting to hate me for posting this over and over, but damnit, there's just nothing better to say until I have more information and it's partially educational as well.....

Common reasons that you can't connect to the servers, experience disconnects, or just have lag in general...

    1. You don't have the three .exe files for the client set to run as administrator.
    2. You don't have the game directory set as an exception in your security softwares.
    3. Your network adapter driver is out of date and needs to be refreshed.
    4. Your local area network settings are improperly configured.
    5. You have more than one firewall and don't realize it.
    6. Your firewall settings are too strict. (Very common with ZoneAlarm and Commodo firewall.)
    7. Your router is configured improperly.
    8. you have a bad network cable.
    9. You're using a wireless network connection. (Which leads to another huge list.)
    10. You have a lot of traffic on your local network that is bogging your router/modem down.
    11. There's a fault in your router.
    12. There's a fault in your modem.
13, You have a bad phone cord plugged into your modem.
    14. There's an issue with your house wiring.
    15. There's an issue with your outside wiring.
    16. A squirrel chewed on your phone line at the pole and it's raining. (I've had this happen personally.)
    17. A switch/router at the CO for your ISP is having an issue.
    18. One of the many hubs between you and PWI is having an issue. (most common)
    19. There is heavy sunspot activity. (has happened within the past two years)
    20. There's a regional router outage. (Has happened several times, most recently just a couple of months ago.)

That's just a few. The more details you give, the better I can narrow it down and tell you what the issue is.

Also, post a copy of a traceroute to the server.

Way to resurrect your old thread, especially since you've already posted this twice in other threads.

So I'll fight spam with spam. b:chuckle

Im living in the Netherlands, Playing Sanctuary server, WEST coast and I can't login, great internet connection but when I try to login it says unable to connect to server, after that login timer of 40 seconds. And when I clikck server status ingame, it says nothing: server name with "---" in the ping, population and event info colom
    Derp
Yep, you've pretty much got to figure that for the next week or so, your connection to the east coast servers will likely have high latency, and will likely get disconnected due to packet loss.

This isn't because of any issue with the Servers, or the facility itself, but because of damage and repairs being made to the wide network of power, telephone, and cable lines that have gone down. Traffic gets re-routed automatically, but that can cause some hubs to get overloaded. Load balancing will continue to happen, but with such large amounts of traffic and with so many hubs being affected, connection issues are to be expected, no matter where you are connecting to the servers from.

This could also have an impact on individuals connecting to West coast servers from Europe and other areas on the other side of the ocean.
    Guess reading would help.

    This is how it works...
Your connection comes from Europe, then Across the Ocean on a Trunk Line to the East Coast, then continues across land to the West Coast.

On a side note, if you think it's something else, feel free to post the information already requested of you in this thread and we'll look at it.
