Error Message Whenever I Press Start On Launche

I recently installed PWI on another laptop in my home, and I wont lie, it's not the best of laptops, but it should be capable of running PWI. I was able to install fine, verified, etc. The launcher starts up, but about 10 seconds after pressing START I receive an error message with a bunch of illegible characters. Any ideas?

I get that exact same message and its been driving me nuts.......i run windows 7 off bootcamp on my macbook pro, and i thought that may have been the issue....0

I think that's the error that states it can't load the textures.
Verify the files.
Make sure the client directory is exempt from your antivirus software.
You might want to make sure you have the right video driver installed as well. Whatever came with your system or Windows typically isn't a real video driver, it's just enough to make the screen look pretty.

And on top of it all, the forum page in the background is taken from here. If he had been paying any attention at all he would have noticed that the screenshot not only doesn't show the same game launcher, but also shows a completely different error.
It just boggles the mind at how someone could possibly be that clueless, and still be able to turn on a computer, much less type or post to a thread.

I'm having this same problem. Other people keep telling me to download DirectX 9.0c End Runtime. I do then when I install, it just tells me I already have the most recent version of DirectX so no update is required. If anyone can help me please let me know.0

Your screenshot of the error is showing the common error that you get when you don't have a video driver that supports Direct3D acceleration and it isn't loading the textures as a result.
Provide a copy of your dxdiag report, because if you really had pretty much any Nvidia driver made over the past two years that came from Nvidia and not Microshaft or whoever built your PC, it would work."No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style." - Steven Brust, Yendi

Hell, It's even been posted in this forum many times.
Just run dxdiag, wait for it to finish, Hit Save all information, open the .txt file, ctrl-A, crtl-C, start a post, Hit the CODE button in the editor, then ctrl-V inside of it and manually remove any trademark or copyright symbols so your post doesn't get truncated.

Well I have just found some interesting news. My video card is not compatible with DirectX 11. It only supports up to Version 10.1. There is no way for me to uninstall v11 and install v10.1. Everyone just says use Run-time to get earlier version files. As I posted earlier, that doesn't work(Just says I already have an earlier version). I was really looking forward to playing this game. Sucks that I would pretty much have to buy a new video which I will not.(Considering I just bought this one for about $120). FML. x.x0 -
No offense, but if you paid $120 for a 210, you got royally screwed. You can get a GTX650 for cheaper than that. Take it back.
Also, the Directx installer you need for the dll's is included with the client download now and should prompt you during install if you need it. You got a lot going against you there, starting with that video card. Intel doesn't even support it for use with Windows 7.0

@cosmicshadow09, what problem are you having? and did you try any of the fixes in this thread?

Your problem, at a minimum, is that there is no DirectX Support from your video driver.
Also, to add to what Vyvyan said, not only is there no supported video driver for that outdated and integrated chipset, but you're running Windows 7 on a processor that barely supports it, AND on half the minimum RAM.
To be true, the best OS for that extremely outdated PC is Windows XP Pro.
So your list of issues is this...
1. Seriously outdated PC, running an OS that's barely compatible with the hardware.
2. No video card, just an inbred chip with no supported drivers.
I'm amazed that you ever had it working with that setup.Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

For all of you out there who are getting this weird popup dialog with all this creepy simbols...
The solution is actually very simple, go to your device manager (using windows 7 just type device manager in the search bar on windows menu), look for your videocard (if the driver is really ouft of date, it might just say "Standard VGA adapter", update it and you will get the problem solved once you restart your computer.
Just in case, for all the answers in this thread are actually correct, it might be the DirectX as well, and also your Antivirus or Firewall blocking the connection, so dont miss those points as well...
