Is there anyway a 101 4.0/5.0 2 soc +10 deicide BM can do this without being purged? While I can still finish the boss easily I think everyone can agree running back to get buffs is a pain. And I dont need to hear about how i should just solo the rest with self buffs, while I know I can thats not the point of this question. Thank you for the tips.

anticipate when the boss will purge (usually when a bishop spawns), then spark to become immune. your timing has to be pretty good for this to be successful. I wait for that blue circle thing to appear under his feet, then count to 3, then spark. Most of the time this works. You could also bring ironguards or use absolute domain if you want to feel safer. Keep it up, the more you fight this boss, the better your timing will be.

Sorry for having to quote, for some reason my quick reply doesn't work.

Anywho, I am guessing you are 4.0 base with 5.0 spark and yes it is possible. To kill dreadindra without being purged you must spark every 3 rings at his feet (excluding the first ring he gets when you first attack him). Every 3 rings is when a bishop will spawn, the first bishop spawns before or on cue with the rings so you have to be quick. The bishop spawning triggers the purge.

So basically Spark > Spark + Cloud eruption > Wait for 3rd ring > Spark as soon as you see the ring.

With this you can easily solo dreadindra :D I hope this helps

Hmm, so this didnt work. Tried a few times and the rings would appear 3-4 times between each bishop.

    It takes practice.
Watch for the bishop to spawn, and go invincible once it does. Or maybe a few seconds after. Based on your experience

My lag is bad enough it's only a 1-2 second wait after the bishop spawns and I triple spark. Literally I see the bishop, take a breathe in, triple spark.

Can use your genie for three things. Either cloud eruption incase you are slept, don't get 3 sparks, and need to CE to spark resist the purge. Or you can also just AD through it which is easy since its 5 seconds instead of a 3 second spark resist. Or you can mire+frenzy/EP and try to kill before he ever spawns a bishop.

Even if purged, I don't see the actual problem since he does not hit really hard. Pretty sure you have to deal with dredindra without buffs, I'm always purged from him, but he is a bit of a light hitter.

OP stated he has no problems finishing the run unbuffed, merely that it's annoying and he's looking for a way to prevent it.

@topic: It's really already been answered. You'll have to practice and get used to the timing for spark resist. You could keep making it reset if you get spare time and feel like it as a way to get a feel for when he purges and when to spark.

Guess I can add bring in a second char to be your 'purged ****'. Just like the second boss always bubbles the non-tanking person if there are more than one, the bishop boss always purges the non tank person first.

So if you're clearing FCC for an alt, bring your alt in while killing the second boss mobs. Walk them into the room with you for the bishop boss and put them on a macro but make sure they're close since they'll be purged and the bishop will be attacking them so you'll need to protect them. Once the boss is dead its a short walk back to the exp room and you can hyper Dreadindra for them, as well as the second boss.
