What's the difference I find tidal protection useless.

Then you don't PvP or fight difficult bosses much.

Tidal has a chance to stop debuffs like stun, amp, phys break, etc. Focused mind has a (lower) chance to make an incoming attack deal 1 damage. Focused is good for grinding or opponents that have few, if any, debuffs. Tidal is better everywhere else.

Yes. @ lvl 10 it has a 50% chance to evade any debuff. It's a lifesaver in PvP and 3-2/3-3

Demon Tidal/Focused are great troll skils. Nothing like having a wizze hit u with Mountain's Seize and the dmg hit for 1 and u resist the stun lol

    Or Sage tidal <3 lolol

What these two said. Sage tidal is so much fun for pissing people off when they're trying desperately to land control skills.

I really enjoy the moments that Aziz stated with Demon Tidal/FM.

    Also hate them too. xD

Tidal protection helps a bunch in full warsong, nirvana, and aba especially. Vile snakefist becomes much more manageable and I hardly ever get frogged and arrayed at the same time. I only really use focused mind when I won't get any nasty debuffs or get stunned frequently. Tidal protection also stops that annoying seal in nirvana if you aren't in a squad that can down the bosses in one spark.

I thought it was strong at level 10 and now that it's sage, it's just plain broken. There have been times fighting blademasters that not a single stun of theirs has gone through until tidal's duration ended.

For PvE I tend to use Tidal Protection on any sleeping and curse bosses, Focused Mind on all the rest. Stuns/Seals are so short I don't mind it happening because even if I get stunned with FM on I rarely get hit, and FM is working when the boss is attacking.

I used to use TP against BMs, now its kind of a toss up. I've had it happen a few times where a BM landed a stun and then missed every attack for the next 6 seconds. Thats a personal preference obviously. It sort of depends on the BMs weapon or the sins hp. A stun length can kill most sins so its better not to get stunned, but if you can survive a stun but not a stun chain maybe its better to have the BM miss half their attacks from evasion and miss half their attacks from FM and know that'll you'll get a charm tick before they can land enough attacks in 10 seconds to kill you.

Against venos, if I'm buffed I'll use TP. If I'm not buffed I use FM.

Against barbs, I FM. Their stuns/freeze are already around 50% success rate but their dph is high enough that if they chain a few you're a goner.

Wizzies I FM. Even if they seal me it basically gives them 1 more attack. I'd rather avoid their 2-3 high dph hits that are 100% accurate than their 1 seal. This is true for most casters.

Against Clerics I use TP. The way they'll win is with seals and debuffs.

In my experience seekers are going to debuff you one way or the other and they end up being a dph class. They also don't stun as much as they freeze which you can still tele then freeze them and keep it melee. I FM against them.

Those are most my personal preferences.
