Why did you choose your class?

My first toon was Desdi. In fact, the sole reason I downloaded PWI was to try out this kemonomimi-looking class; Venomancer.

Eventually, as I played for a couple of days, it turned out that I really like the class because it has battle pets, can transform into fox etc. the more I learnt about the class the more I started loving it. I also really like the concept of it being a solo class because I loved overcoming difficulties on my own sometimes without the need to depend on others so much (back when I did a lot of questing and killed many mini bosses and whatnot).

Four years later, it's still my favourite class and main character. Although I have tried a bit of every class and I have a few alts, I can't help but play Desdi the most.

My first 2 characters I made on {PWi} back in 2008 were:



1st one ~ An Archer (which I played, for awhile but got annoyed with) do to the facts of the costs of running him back then, the ammo costs back then were atrocious especially when everyone and their mothers would run in and Drop Steal from ya 90% of the time back then... b:surrender


And my 2nd one ~ Was a Veno (Which became my main 1 Before I retired her in (late 2010) who I chose to play simply because, I new fully well back then just from the combat styles (of Pet using & etc.) that she would be the perfect drop farmer class while grinding back then, since you could use her pets too off your targets, while you ran around gathering your prior drops from the other off'd mobs with her, before any thieves could usually come in and steal from ya (so in the end, i used her too be the main bread winner on {HT server} so I could finance all my other characters coin needs on the server, as I created them)....b:thanks



((So effective was the Veno farmer tactic for me back then (for making coin and paying for the other classes needs) that it became 1 of the only (2 classes) that I maintain 3 variances of ~ on all three of the servers that I play too this day; the only other class that I play 3 of on the (3 seperate servers) that I play, is the SINs class, as the other class))...b:victory

The first class i played for longer than like 20 minutes was my cleric. Because she could fly. That's it. b:laugh

First class i made was a Blademaster. A friend said he wanted a tank, after i made it, and got it to 15, he said barbs are better tanks b:shocked. I stuck with a bm, my weapon of choice for 20 lvls I remember a veno helping me out one time when s/he learnt i was questing and was surprised to see me there. This was a time of hyper babies and i was questing b:victory, if you see the weapon you can imagine why.

People might have different opinions about the best class for different aspects for the game, i find that my bm is the most suited character for me. I make the bm work well for his hide. Where mere roasted fishies get fried, my bm does the cooking b:chuckle. I have quite a few hyper alts, sin being a 101, but i find the sin too squishy. They just can not take a hit without sparking. Sin has 7k hp, bm has 7k to, bm wins amongst those two toons b:dirty. Sins don't really have fun while playing in aoe, squad settings, which is every instance practically. Lunar, sot, aba, warsong, delta. For farming tt the sin is great, but to have fun with friends, i prefer my bm. How can a person not love aoe stun b:cute, and hit bosses for 150~200k crits.

I like to experiment with every class and try them all out. As you can imagine, this is more expensive than leveling just one and you can't focus on specific gear or devote as much time. So I decided I'd try playing just one character. I sat there for about an hour deciding which class was "most like me."

Well, I'm and EMT and a cage fighter so it came down to either cleric or BM. I decided the healer in the group would be most useful and I'd develop the most connections so I started a cleric.

First I tried a PvP server (didn't know it was PvP) and at level 30 I couldn't leave Archo. I'd walk out the gate *boom* dead. I'd fly over the wall in an obscure part of Arch *boom* dead. After about 15 deaths and only being able to quest for about 5 minutes I rerolled on a PvE server.

I leveled to about 40, also started a barb (preferred the cleric still), level to about 60, started a bm (still preferred the cleric). I leveled up to 79 then didn't level again till I had all my skills maxed and my gear up to date. This was back in the day when 85+ was high level and 5k hp was endgame for a cleric and at 79 I only had about 3k.

As I worked on my clerics gear I continued to play a BM. Once I had wanted to play one for the skill versatility but when I started playing they were the only real HA dd class and it seemed like everyone was playing one and I didn't want to be another. But I had come from a game where melee attack speed could be increased along with life leach to make you invincible. So I calced out -int and use of fist and... literally got hard. My calculations were wrong, I was dreaming of 250k dd with deicides but it wasn't too far off. Anyways, I started building my fist bm about 3.5 years ago and loved the bit of uniqueness. Being unique or a little while, being one of the highest melee dds, the options of BM skills... I loved it. It became my main and my cleric was forgotten for a bit.

I began to level my barb with my bm so I had a tank also. When my BM was up in the 80's I went back to cleric and realized how much I missed it. It was so much more relaxed playing the cleric since I now understood tanks and dds.

So cleric was first, BM was my "main" although I now consider myself having 6-7 mains.

wiz because magic is (supposed to be..) awesome

always saved lots of mana pots, was disappointed in aoe skills plus being squishy

asking alot of ppl about aoe class i ended up preferring bm

My first was a Barbarian...
He was more of a traveler than anything else, so he didnt make it to the 8x levels till sometime before the Tideborn resurfaced. With a lack of interest in what lay ahead for him, he was retired to a tiny village to live peacefully while I tried out an Assassin (who was discarded) and a Psychic (who became my main).

Ive brought him back out of retirement due to being a bit bored lately though.

I picked a cleric when I started because my other friends were DD/tank classes and we needed a healer. They all quit back in 2009... ;-;

I now play an archer (I know, sue me, my sig makes no sense anymore)... b:shutup
