FCC Bosses bugged?

Did a FCC run last night and noticed something really odd.
The proc debuff from Soulsever never lasted 3 minutes like it is supposed to.
At best, it lasted maybe 20 seconds once, typically it remained on the boss no more than 10, and once it disappeared and then reappeared again.

I'm not aware of any other debuff that would over-write it, genie or otherwise.
Squad consisted of barbs, clerics, Archers, and me (Seeker).

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Also, no, there weren't enough buffs/debuffs on the bosses for it to roll off the display. I believe the limit is 10, and the bosses rarely had more than 6 status effects applied.

    Did the barb use Devour?

    It reduces the target's attack level and IIRC has the same image so it can be what overwrote Soulsever.
    Once upon a time I was stuck in Hall of Deception.
    The Devs felt sorry for me having to smash lowbies all day, so they decided to promote me.
    I then rerolled a Psychic.

    What Necare said. Devour overwrites it and would explain what you're saying.
    I don't bother using the Soulsever debuff when there's a barb in squad for this reason, they're likely going to overwrite it anyway.

    This also explains it "reappearing". It's not your debuff reappearing...its the Barb using Devour again and his debuff reappearing.

    because the debuff that reduces def lvl is just a waste of time.

    Yes it is, in my opinion. Why would I proc Soulsever when half the effect is overwritten by Barbs and I can spam Northern Sky procs for a higher defence level reduction?
