PVP below level 30

I am under level 30, and a player attacked me. I thought you were immune to PVP until 30. Now I see that my name is white whenever I am not in a safe zone. Also they knew exactly what level I was. The last time I was in a squad with someone was a few levels ago, so how can someone know my level? What am I missing?

    Okay if your on a PVP server you automatically get put into pk mode AT lvl 30.

    Also people can look at your Character information, (Right click you players icon and click Charecter information)
    It tell you what the class is wearing and their level.

    The same thing is going on with my character. I am level 27 but my name is white instead of blue! I haven't gotten pked yet but still! What's up with that?
