This game varies all ages, nationalities, countries, careers. I think this is something people should think about more often, not who is the best, but whats ethical Leadership? Being a leader is difficult, time consuming, so dont diss a leader just leader, give advice, or just leave.

QUESTIONS TO ASK WHEN PICKING A LEADER:


What kind of game history and leadership resume dose he have?

Where is he from, what are the politcal situations there?

What kind of temperment?

What kind of training?

What kind of Real Life history and experience do you want from a Leader?

What kind of Real life history and experience do you not want?

What are his Real life affliations, how will you be procevied under him?

What is Ethical Leadership?

Is it a safe leader?

What age?

Dose he have Moderator connections?

Can he afford it?

Dose he speak the games language?

Can you understand his leadership method?

What can you do to help?

Can he help you with real life things?

Can you trust them?


QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF AS A LEADER:


Why are you leading?

Can you afford to play, is it at your own free will?

How do your members make you appear?

How dose their real life effect you?

How dose what you write or say make me appear?

What are your limitations as a leader?

Did make a rule list everyone can see on the forum?

What are your members doing under you? will it put you at risk?

Is the member there to hurt or help you?

Is it a bot or alt?

    The only question is can they lead.

    The rest is utterly pointless **** that will have either a minor impact, or will make them clearly unable to lead because they'll flip their **** way too often / never be on / die of starvation because they gave PWE all their money etc.

    Man, if I answered half that I'd never get to lead and no leader on HL would continue leading. (I, btw, have no intention of leading so don't worry :D)
    I've quit excluding TW for my faction. But I still hang around to help out those who still enjoy the game under PWEs horrific handling and to have fun in the forums. b:cute
    #Shame about PWEs absolutely craptastic handling of the goons glitching. Remember kids, there's no punishment for breaking the rules here!#

    Seems like a pretty comprehensive list of things to take into consideration at least. Few of those would be "deal breakers" necessarily, but almost all of them are things to give some brief thought over.

    Only thing you must keep in mind is,

    Leaders represent the society they lead.

    If a leader is a thief, then you can say that the society he leads is consisting of mainly from thieves. If you are not a thief, than you wont do good in that society. You'll continiously complain about how your leader robbed you and no one will give a damn about it. They'll even laugh at you for being robbed that easily.
