New Reforge Revert
- An enigmatic forge-wright, named Spirit of the Forge, has made its appearance in Archosaur and provides a new option for players reforging their Lunar & Twilight Temple weapons or Rank 8 Ascended equipment.
- By choosing to reforge with this NPC, players can revert back to their items' original stats should they not desire the new reforged stats. This occurs only after the reforging process and will consume the necessary materials to reforge for each attempt regardless of the player's choice.
If I understand correctly, I can forge my old equipment in the new one, but keep the old parameters?b:surrender

No.
The forge does not affect the r8 -> r8r phase.
However, once you have r8r, and reroll it for better stats, you get the option of using this forge. Let's assume you have decent stats on your armor, but you would like really good stats. You get crappy stats on your next roll though. If you recast it using that spirit forge option, you can cancel the process and keep your old stats (this will still consume the mats !).
In short:
Rerolling stats normally: your gear will have the new stats no matter what
Rerolling stats with spirit forge: you can choose whether or not you want the new stats, but the mats will be consumed anyway.0 -
