Somewhat Frustrated.

As the title says, I'm somewhat frustrated.

I've hit level 38 Recently on my archer (Highest Toon to date) Mostly from solo play questing and other such things, and I still find I've learned next to nothing about the game.

I think honestly my issues is the lack of a reliable way to communicate with other players? To use world chat you have to have an item that while cheap for higher levels, can be pretty pricey per post for lower, newbies. Ontop of that, most people you find in the game don't seem to pay attention to their general chat or are AFK.

It was fairly hard to find help to get my first Dungeon quest done in the ferocious cave, and at that, I didn't really learn anything from it due to it being a high level pretty much destroying everything for me (Though I do appreciate the help >_< )

Is there a reliable place to go to find people willing to help? The advertisements I see for factions and such seem to all have a level requirement, of at least 50+ and at this point I'm really worried about becoming a "High level newb" someone whom got really high through solo play, and doesn't know a lick about anything :<

Any suggestions? I know most of this is just lack of experience, but it doesn't stop me from worrying about being that one person who just causes frustration with others :<

Just the fact that you are worried about this already puts you a few steps ahead of most idiots b:chuckle

The forums are full of guides on how to do stuf if you want to read a little bit (and are unsure), and as cheezy as it sounds, it will simply get better later on.

In the low levels you mostly learn how to control your own character, what to do with different kinds of mobs (kiting, staying alive, what your skills do exactly and when to use them, stuf like that).
Once you know this it's a lot easier to extrapolate this to squad play.

I would advise you to try to find a low lvl faction that's nice and active. Sometimes you get lucky and they recruit on WC, or you could try to post a request on your server's forum (http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/forumdisplay.php?f=71) for a helpfull faction.
That should help you get your FB's done (FB is a quick name for that dungeon quest you get every 10 lvls. I believe it's a chinese short for dungeon or something).
Usually those factions have a few high lvl people there that want to help lowbys like you

Good luck, hope that was enough b:victory

No, really, thank you, you made me feel quite a bit better b:thanks

Also, I'll look into the link you posted, mainly because besides all the help needed from quests and such, being alone in the game all the time gets very dull b:sad

    Again thank you!

If you are on dreamweaver, pm me.

I'm in a really friendly faction - all sorts of levels from 20 - 101. The higher-level players don't mind helping with cult quest bosses and fb. It's all fun.

    Hey there b:bye

If you're still looking for help or just a friend, I'm ready to help you :) Super friendly person here b:laugh

I've got a high level veno who I play mostly only to help others, and I have many low-level alts too. I don't have many friends in-game anymore, since most people powerlevel nowadays, but if you like to do quests and etc., pm me or send a mail to my main Fiery_Demon on Heaven's Tear.

the platform in the center of archosaur is a good place to find squads.
it is true however that these days squads are reduce to one high-level char soloing the dungeon which is kinda sad.

i think it's pretty normal to reach ~40 factionless and without a good friendlist, especially since a lot of people are alts. ask people you do dungeons/quests (cultivation (gold) quests are still a busy place) with if they know a faction that's recruiting people at your level range, add them in your FL (depending on how they play/how nice they are.
while high-level people tend to gather in factions with strict level/gear requirements there are people that lead a more accessible faction. also, many high level ppl have alts in various other guilds.

dont be shy (i was/am); most people dont have a problem if you add them (unless their friendlist is full - that happens a lot of times). just dont start asking for a ton of stuff xD
generally most people will help with culti bosses/dungeons since it's a must-do quest
