Graphic Issue!

In my laptop I have two Graphic cards: Nvidia GeForce GT520 CUDA 1GB Dedicated
and Intel HD 3000 Graphic with 64MB. And when I checked which graphic is running on PWI, because it was lagging and game stops to not respond, it shows that im using Intel HD 3000. So, how should I change it to Nvidia graphic. Also when I checked at graphic section, RAM says 0MB but I have 8GB of RAM. So please help me with these two issues.
This is some detail about my laptop.
I bought my laptop 8 month ago with spec:
Brand: Asus
13.3 inch
Intel Core i7-2620M, 2.7GHz boost up to 3.3GHz
8GB Ram
Graphic: explained above.
Windows 7
HDD: 750

I also have 2 graphic cards and W7 and I use this method.
1) Go to the Perfect World Entertainment/Perfect World International/element folder.
2) Right-click elementclient.exe file
3) Choose something like "open with graphic processor", I have this option in russian, so don't know exact translate.
4) Choose NVIDIA graphics card.
Idk if it helps you, but here's screenshot to better understand what to do.

Disable Intel HD 3000.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I Miss the old days of PWIb:surrender0 -
I have done that before _Nerox_ but I got my Laptop Crashed and whole screen went black. So I'm not doing that. Also for Azu_Nya I did that and worked ok, but i'm not sure running Nvidia. So I'm still looking for solution. Does anyone know more solutions? please tell me and thank you for answering my question><0

That would happen if the HD3000 were set as your default video display driver.
Go to BIOS and see if it has an option for which display to initialize first. If so, choose PCI-E or PCI. Then when in windows, make sure that the Nvidia display adapter is the one currently set as default. Once that is, you can safely disable the HD3000 without having any issues.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Sorry, im not that pc person, how to check my bios? please tell me the step to do it.
thank you!0 -
This may sound crazy but when you got your laptop 8 months ago it came with a manual. Either on a disc or on paper. That'smay help you find out how to make the Nvidia card the default graphics card. Or go to the Asus tech support site and ask them. I have always had good results there.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Again, people are recommending long way.
Right click on desktop -> NVIDIA Control Panel -> on the left, under "3D Settings", you have "Manage 3D Settings" -> under "Preferred Graphics Processor" choose "High-Performance Nvidia Processor".
This will make your Nvidia GeForce GT520 default GPU.
But, if sometime later you need longer battery life, just follow same procedure and on the last step choose "Integrated Graphics". This will increase your battery life, but you will have lower graphics performance.0 -
Thank you for both of you Crystyl and CroPsy. That did helped me well. Especially for CroPsy! thanks that was easy process. Also for Crystyl, I have sent email to Asus company and they give me good solution. So, Thank you for your help and everyone who answerd my question. Cheers \^~^/0

Came across this thread due to my persistence and frustration for an answer. Just bought new laptop with AMD Radeon 7670m graphics card, but similar problem, PWI only detects Intel Card. I understand that his NVIDIA problem was solved, but perhaps there is anyone out there who also encountered similar problem with me and found the solution. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sorry for posting in your thread as I am new in the forum, can't post and make own threads yet.0

The same idea applies for AMD too i guess.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thanks Silvy for the siggy, You are the best ! b:kiss0 -
In Catalyst Control Center -advanced mode you can set different profiles to different programs and the profile used will tell the system which graphics chip to use when running it. I wrote the guide for it in other thread which I can't find right now but the multiple cards page is somewhere in CCC advanced and you will want to use high performance mode instead of power saving. This may solve your issue with the ATI and Intel cards.0
