Fist BM or Sin?

OK, first off, I'm not exactly new to PWI. That being said, I haven't really been around too much for the past year or so, so I've missed out on keeping current with some of the patches. I've noticed a few things, such as skill mods and re-balancing of the class/skills.
Further, I've never used a Fist BM, although I've always been tempted to.
My main character is a 57 Sin (going for -int gear, starting at 60).
I just wanted to know which was better: a Fist BM or a Sin?
I read in the BM guide here: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=766822 a recommendation to use heavy armor (3 str/2 Dex per lvl) For HA and Fists (I also figure that 5 str/ 5 dex per 2 lvls would work great too).
So I guess the real question is this: Fist BM (HA), Fist BM (LA), or Sin?
P.S.: I couldn't find any other threads about this. b:surrender which surprises me, since I figured it would be a big toppic. If there is already a thread concerning this, I'm sorry for my ignorance (and my lack of skill with the Search tool. I can almost never find the stuff that I'm looking for with it. b:cry)

A fist only BM is a fail only BM.
Bm's use all 4 kinds of weapons9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -

Sure, if you wanna knock out 3/4th of your entire skill tree, go ahead.
But you have these skills for a reason.
And it's not like you have that much more skills. They are just spread out over differnt weapon types.
Weapon 'focussing' is something the noobs that think APS is the awnser to everything do.
Or did you want to go through delta or lunar (20+ mobs at a time) single target APSing them 1 by 1? Cause don't expect that squad to ever invite you again if you do9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -
Right thing to do: Fist, Claw / Axes
For bosses or single targes: Claw, Fist
For multiple target, AoE: Axes
You have to put both weapons in your hotkey bar and keep switching according to the situation.0 -

Choosing 2/4 weapon tree's makes sense, so you're well rounded.
So, aside from all that (since that more or less puts the type of BM to rest), which is better? The Fist/Claw/Axe BM or the Assassin?0 -

Well that would depend.
Both have very differnt play styles, and the real question is, what would you enjoy most?
Sins are speciallists.
They are very good at killing a single target, and that's about it.
BMs are more rounded. They are good at everything you throw at them, but they can't do it as good as other classes9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -
That makes sense. I guess the only answer is to get my sin to 60 for the -Int gear and then get a BM to 60 and test them both out, side by side.
Edit: Sirrobert: Have you ever played a BM beyond level 29 (which is the level that they start getting their weapon focus skills)?
Because, as little as I know about BMs, I do know that they are not recommended to take all 4 tree's. It seems to me, and correct me if I'm wrong, that all your understanding of a BM is strictly hypothetical and "text book", without any real experience of one. Your achievements indicate that you've never gotten a BM to level 30, which is about where those choices come into affect.
Further more, your answers are comparable to my own conclusions of a BM versus SIN with little to no real experience of such a class. If that's the case, I still welcome your opinion on BM's, and especially your insight on Sin's (seeing as mine isn't even level 60 yet).
As this seems to be the case, I am taking your advice with a grain of salt.
I'm sorry if this offends you. I was hoping to get more of a response from people who have actively played both classes to a reasonable extent. (Let's say at least mid-to-late-game for each)0 -
lol dont joke around do FF and you will get all the spirit point you ever need for all 4 paths and if you later go demon or sage.
money is more issue then sp in later lv but then with decent aps u can start to farm liek a lil nice boy
b:bye0 -
Axe AoEs you need to level:
Highland Cleave
Drake's Sweep
Fissure
Heaven's Flam
That's all you gonna use on FF runs.
Level glacial spike on end game, when you start farming nirvanas. It's a pike only skill.
For passive skills you'll want Fist Mastery and Axe and Poleaxe masteries leveled to 10.
Running skills: Cloud Spirit and Will of Bodhisattva.
For fist you'll want Shadowless Kick and Cyclone Heel both lvl 10. Shadowless interrupts channeling and Cyclone Heel boosts your attack rate.
Lvel both of your marrows and your bell to 10. Can't remember anything else for now.0 -
Endgame is sin. There is no doubt about it. It's good for using if you wanna solo FC and not pay millions of coins to level your alts.
+1 this message if you agree.Do you hate me? Good, that makes for an adequate conversation starter.
