Eh, there are jerks on every server. But on a PvP server those jerks can actually camp the people who aren't so uber geared and ruin their day. As a server, you guys shouldn't have tolerated it with a "well you did pick a pvp server," mentality. I mean, the game mechanics allow you to steal drops in squads too. But people don't do it as a matter of courtesy and name and shame people who do. It's not something that is really tolerated so it doesn't come up that often. It's not something that everyone has to continuously deal with. Picking on players as bait is something that you gotta deal with a lot on a pvp server though. Now that it is so easy to level to 101 and get great gear before you go into PK mode, there really isn't a reason for anyone to put up with it. It's easy enough to roll a PvE server, powerlevel until you get rank 9, and face people on more equal footing for those that can afford to and want to PK in such a manner. So why bother with the hassle? PvE servers =/= no pk or no jerks. It's just a PvE server gives you far more control on when and how you PK, so other have don't have that control over what you're doing. There isn't any well you just gotta come back later.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well if youw want to turn this into a server thing (which it isn't) then i have to say people on pve servers are more annoying when it come to pk and going white name the reason i say this is because if you are like lvl30 and u and a friend wanna pk each other for fun then other people will be d.ick and try play police and stop the fun and even if you explain to then that you understand that in pvp mode you choose to open yourself up to being pkd and 100% ok they still gonna annoying talking about how your QQing about getting pkd and making up other such lies and stupidness id rather not get into. Btw personally i see this kind of stuff on both types of servers but just showing that pve got just as much idiots when it come to the pk....... especially when secret passage was pk enabled, which makes some people hypocrites talking as if there servers is full of people who all care about pking low lvls seeing how much ppl were when it was going onb:chuckle
Overall i choose pvp server because of the following:
1.No stays low lvl forever if they play the game(dont come to me with how can they play the game if they are getting killed, i know a **** oad of ppl that go into those zones and dnt get pkd hell i hang around highlvl red names all the time it dont happen much)
2.I love pvp on this game and a spontaneous pk war is very atrractive
3.If someone tanking my mobs i can tank his/her *** out instead of tryn to have arguments or caps lock then to death
4. I hate seeing a empty SP.
there are others but since i got a life i gtgb:surrender

archo was DOA, as were the EU servers, the LC players brought their demise on themselves, HL will probably suffer the same fate as LC (if it hasnt already)

I played on that server, in fact i started there. Even if i keep good memories of those days i have to admit that in a game with a lame pvp system as PWI playing in a pvp server is plain frustrating. I am sure the rank9 players will stick around and kill each other on sundays now... b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Honestly I don't know how any pvp server functions on any game if there isn't some kind of protection.
This game would benefit from a 10 lvl protection barrier; aka a lvl 60-100 can't attack a lvl 40. Can't attack, but can defend >.> if a lvl 40 is dumb enough to attack a lvl 100 first no reason they can't be allowed to defend themselves.
The barrier could be lengthened the higher up in level you go, like from 85 or so, but if low levels are just left to the goodness of player's hearts not to grief them, then I have no idea how you're supposed to start.0 -
there was a private server hype not long ago
since more people discovered that there are other private servers
not only those with **** lvl150 stuff severs like the old crappy (offline) "fake perfect world"
there are acually some using 1:1 the same version, only.. everyone is a "extreme casher"
they went to do 70 vs 70 and stuff on the open map
and ye wuild gars 2 now is obviously there
but many of us play both games and dont plan on quitting pwi (cause of tw)i like potato0 -

OH I agree 100%, there are jerks on every server. There are those that rage at you for the simplest things. QQ your in the same location as I am. QQ you're in PK mode and I don't agree with PK mode. QQ you didn't buff me when I demanded it. QQ you failed on heal me even though I was a one shot. QQQQQQQQQQQQQQ
But you can just blacklist them and go about your business. You don't have to worry about them griefing you or any such nonsense because at the end of the day talking is all they can do. And theres a list for that. In a PK server if someone decides to grief you and constantly interrupt your ability to do your culti, you either gotta whine to your friends or come back later.
But a new player who is being griefed can't even fight back and may not even have established friends nor faction yet. They don't about all the various locations. So what do they do? They quit and go to a pve server.
I mean Lost City is one of the oldest servers in the game, it's population shouldn't be comparable to Archosaur which was DOA as was stated earlier.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Meh... PVP servers were always going to be doomed in this game once the gear explosion started. Power leveling of course just reinforced the rat race. Mandatory PVP works well when everyone is within throwing distance of each other gear and level wise. For proof just check out the huge PVP wars going on in the private servers (which are really good for nothing else).
In PVP, the "haves" will always dominate and do so to the point where the "have nots" eventually say **ck it and either roll a PVE server or out right quit.
There are some advantages however to playing on a PVP server. Think of how many times unsavory players have screwed you out of Nirvana drops/Delta coins or plain lied about you in WC. At least on Lost or HL there is some actual pay back available for those who have been wronged. Here... all we can do is name and shame but with the amount of people running alts nowadays I'm not even sure how effective that is anymore. b:surrender0 -

^ Tried it once, once I hit 30, all the levels 80+ are chasing me over and over again, and when they did pk me, they're yelling "noobs hahaha" like they've won a nobel prize or something.
And for those who blaming the gear or cash shop... you should think again, it's the ppl who plays behind the screen who should be put on question mark. And also agree with the "well, you did choose a PvP server."
That sentence helped the mentality of those player to think "i'm high level now, i haz to kill newbies as soon as they turned white !!1!23!"[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It's the overwhelming number of people who rolled sins to play easy mode and have the win at all cost mentality that played a significant role in the numbers dwindling, combined with new games that have released. Sadly at this point in the game it's whoever has sins on their side, wins. No point even trying to bother pvp'ing against a group of full buffed +12 rank 9 sins with sage tidal who can't be stopped and can auto attack zerk crit you for as hard as you can hit them with skills that take seconds to channel.0

as soon as sin come and started apsing game become who ever could counter stealth and if you cant roll on and win mentality.
i dobt we have so many sin becouse ppl love playing sin but for the fact it become so easy and let you farm and faceroll pvp.
does anybdy even remember old T butten function as it used to be used on the map to counter a rpk comming for ur blood.
i for sure dont anymore as i cant see the sin anyways and the best anti stealth pot come from tw....
stealth all kinda stun+zeal+sleep plus deaden nerv plus anti debuff buff and two teleport skill plus aps........
then we can say r9 but sin was the main thing wish destroyed the game waay before rank 9.....0 -
out of the people that get tracked maybe 30% of pwi, we do about 400 hours of game play daily. there is most likely more cast shops online then people playing the game.b:shocked today alone some other game has done about 90,000 hours tracked....0

first: sorry but i stopped reading after you said lvl 30's want to go pk with each other on a pve server. all they have to do is duel one another, no need to go white name.
second: anyone with high kill ranks on a pvp server are fail. come to a pve server and try to get that many kills.You don't need a tank and cleric, you need me b:victory0 -

It's not like anyone can take what you say seriously either. As soon as you equated PK to dueling, you lost all credibility.
People are far more desparate for kill count on PvE servers. You think a white named level 30 have problems on a PvP server... if a level 30 goes white name on a PvE server, they're harassed 10x as much.
