Forum trolls can at least provide entertainment, but these spammers are just complete and utter ****.

Yes, I know this will be closed, but at least it should bump the spam down a notch.

    I agree with you on all counts, and I'll even keep your thread alive. We've got eyes on our forum here, so we'll be removing all spam threads and banning the offenders as we see them.

    So we get an update about a dumb sale on the 31st http://pwi.perfectworld.com/news/?p=657941 but no info about the Anniversary. Then on the day we should be getting info all i see is forum spam. Id love to know who is in charge of marketing at PW because i'm sure this is keeping many people playing a certain new game instead. As i mentioned to my Girlfriend with few exceptions its almost as if there pushing people to play "other"games with there actions lately.

    They should just add a captcha to account creation. It's pretty dumb that there's a captcha for entering your password wrong twice but not for account creation.

    how about the ability to vote on a forum to close it by the people of the forums that way shelly dosent have to moderate the forums 24/7

    So sad I missed their performance this time, I saw them last year. We had a birthday party for a coworker. They didn't play the Rattlesnake last year, which was too bad.

    I have some admin powers here, but I'm CM for Champions and Jade Dynasty.

    I used to play trumpet at a Jazz club in Dallas, (now it's a *** bar, go figure), and would work in The Basement sometimes filling in for missing band players on keyboard or drums. Got to play drums for Pantera once or twice before they went big and opened with Metallica. Man those were the days.

    Where's the other mods? I haven't seen anyone but Shelly for a while.

    I think Krisnda had said he (I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that he's a he and not a she) was on vacation or something. I've no idea where Fuzzy is.

    Regardless, this mess is too much for Shelly to handle on her own. She's a voluntary moderator, she shouldn't have to feel tied to the forum 24/7 to keep it clean. As Frankie is a paid PWE employee, I can't say I'd blame him if he doesn't want to be bothered by work on his days off.

    Maybe Frankie could consider giving some other people moderator status, even if only until this whole spamming situation gets under control (as I understand it, this phenomenon is not just limited to the PWI forums).
