Crafting Pet Food

I couldn't find any other posts pertaining to this, so here goes...
As a long time PWI player, I have noticed that no matter how long you try to farm food for your beloved pet/mount, you never find enough and end up having to TRY and find someone selling it in a vendor or AH. This is very frustrating for me, I have several toons, most have riding pets that I need to feed, and battle pets that are starving. This can get very costly for those of us that don't have 100 billion coin to spend willy-nilly. I would like to suggest to the developers that they need to implement a way to craft our pet food, much like crafting potions at the Apothecary. OR increase the drop rate for food. Since there are other crafts in-game (tailor, apoth, blacksmith, craftman) why not add another that can utilize the mats we already farm for.
Thanks for reading.

You do know that having a tome keeps them fed, right?
Also, concerning herc and nix, you can make perfect cookies with tokens to keep them fed.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thanks, and I do know all that, but I thought it would be a little easier to do in-game without totally having to either cash shop or use my coin for tokens and food. It's bad enough that we have to spend a ton of real money to get r9 gear. It was just a thought.0

No need to Cashop to get cookies. O.o
I'ts i think around 9-10 tokens for 25, if your pets die so often maybe you do something wrong.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

not only that, but you can buy the high end waters for non herc/nix at the pet master or whatever its called, that more than covers how much they should be dying for really cheap0

Or U could make an alt, keep it on low lvl, and farm with that, avoiding lvling by dying sometimes or lvl genies with exp to make a few extra coins too...Miss my Avatar b:sad

I actually kind of like this idea. But just to make regular food that we can buy or replace the use for a tome doesn't make much sense. On the other hand, if the craft-able pet food we make gave our pets a time-limited ability or buff like runes do for weapons then I'd be backing this idea 100%.
For example, crafting a Jerky - meat food, for my wolf that gives it a 30 minute buff with a % chance to stun or % chance to sleep the target. In this way us venomancers could diversify our pets more without relying solely on pet skill books.0 -
This would be a very useful idea, just as long as the pet food crafting is actually doable completely in game, for those who can't use the cash shop for anything.
Currently I only carry the Pure Water (the low tier water) as a field use pet food and I only buy the Sesame Oil (the high tier water) when I need to fix the loyalty on my Venomancer pets.
It would be nice not only to keep pets feed in the field and restore loyalties, but adding buffs to them would be like using buffs for a weapon, after all half the Venomancer's attacks come from their pets, not just their weapons.
Even if pet food crafting becomes a Venomancer only crafting skill, it will still be a huge asset and may give them a way to make coins with out having to compete for the rare pets only a few people actually want.
Again, if this does get added, make it so any mob drops are not insanely rare like the other crafting mats, so that it will help discourage the formation of another greed market.0
