Can 1.Star Dragon Orbs be used to eventually refine something higher successfully?

Like if you use 1 star orbs and mirages to refine something from +3 to +4. Will it always fail? Or could it work eventually?



So it would never have success? Lol the purpose of the orbs is to protect loss of refines upon attempting :p not as a refining aid to increase chances.

Or atleast a different way to aid :)

    Well, yes - it'll eventually work; but no more likely than not using orbs.

    Combine the orbs to make bigger orbs to make it certain; or don't use orbs at all.

    Using a lower grade orb has no effect. It doesn't increase the chances, prevent it nor make it higher.

    erm essentially only way to guarantee past +1 is to combine lvl1 orbs in to higher lvls apart from that its a waste of the orb and you have more chance using the other refine aids

    1* orb takes your gear to +1 2* to +2 so on so forth 1* is useless after you have your gear refined to +1. I would suggest you use mirage up to +4 it's much cheaper than buying orbs and then use your 1* to make bigger orbs


    1* won't take your gear to +2
    2* won't take your gear to +3

    You should be able to get to +2 with just the mirages. I used to be able to get to +4 with them, but then my luck changed, or they got nerfed...idk.

    The 1* orbs you need to combine at the Jewelcrafter to make into 2*, 3,* and so on orbs. I think you need 61 or 62 for a single 5* orb.

    You need to first refine +1, +2, +3 & +4 on your gears before you can get to refine with the +5 orb.

    There used to be a guide somewhere - search "PWI/Refine gears"

    The 1 Star Orbs are again. Only a cushion for me lol. I would combine them but that's expensive right? I could get to +4 Max on only mirages but for my Broadland bow on my Archer..It refines tough. Took me 80 mirages just to get it to +3.

    Event gold can be your friend in refining, as you can get refine aids with it. I go to +3 with just mirages, then use tienkangs to get 4/5, and tisha to get 6. I used another tisha once and got +7 on a weap but mostly I don't chance it after +6.

    I can refine up to +3 or 4 with mirages only sometimes. But my aim is +5 and I can't get that high with risks for failure. So I figure refining with 1 star Orbs...I might get higher refines eventually for cheaper than buying higher grade orbs (like 5 or 4 star orbs)

    Oh okay just wanted to clarify on somethings lol

    Has anyone ever successfully refined while using a dragon orb beyond its max refine?
    To me it makes much more sense if dragon orbs always fail above their max refine but this is not something I have bothered testing.
